Favorite/Dream Resort

Probably Yacht Club. Looks luxurious, yet relaxing at the same time and has that awesome pool! My other contender would be AKL with the savannah view rooms, but that is more doable financially speaking for a special Disneymoon/anniversary trip.

Say money was no object, which resort would you stay at? And why? :)

That is a tough one. It wouldn't be the logical "top" resort but likely make my money work to get me the best room elsewhere. Have zero interest in staying at GF, Poly or CR or YC/BC. So where ......

- AKL (stayed and love) but want a suite with a savanna room, beautiful all around.
- WL (stayed and love) but want Club level suite with bay lake (fireworks...) view.
- Boardwalk Inn, biggest room they have with balcony overlooking boardwalk/water, but not wowed by decor, so it's location.

I agree, if money was no object, I would still stick with my favorite, AKL, but would splurge for the Royal Asante Suite! I believe it even comes with a butler!! Yikes!

I would choose a villa at either Animal kingdom lodge or do one of the new cabins at Wilderness Lodge

I love BC and tend to stay there. But I dos want to branch out and try other resorts. I think I would like to stay at CR and GF some day (maybe when we have young kids and the walk to MK is desirable). I would like to try AKL but worry about taking the bus everywhere. :crazy2:

GF for me. Only because I can never get a DVC Studio when we are down there because they are always booked!! :)

The Four Seasons resort at Disney World would also be a place I would stay if $$ was not an issue.

AKL lodge suite with a savannah room. When I first started researching Disney hotels I completely fell in love with AKL but I would have to save for years just to be able to afford to stay there.

My favorite resort is Port Orleans Riverside., I just love the theming of the entire resort, from the landscaping to the lobby to the rooms. It gives me that feel that I'm in Louisiana, and not in Disney World.

If I were to suddenly win a Powerball jackpot, I would be booking a room for two weeks at The Grand Floridian, and sometime I'd be finding my way to The Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's.

Thank you for saving me the effort of typing exactly this! Sums up my thoughts entirely!

Wonderful question!

For us I think it would be a one bedroom villa at the BWV overlooking the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake.

DW and I love the theming of the Boardwalk. The convenience of being able to wander over to Epcot is what makes it extra special for us. We have stayed on the Inn side many times and splurged once with a bounce back offer for a 1BR villa which looked out onto the pool. We loved the space and amenities in the 1BR villas.

That said, one thing we haven't done due to the cost is to stay at the Contemporary with a Magic Kingdom view. Since we like our space, preferably a suite in the upper floors. It is always nice to dream...

I would love to try all of them at least once.

But if I were to limit myself then I would say...

Poly - with a theme park view (the bungalows mainly)

Bay Lake Tower - also with theme park view

AKL - with a savanna view of course

any of the Crescent Lake resorts that would let me see Illuminations from my room

POR - just for the gorgeous atmosphere

AoA Lion King suites - it was my favorite film growing up so...

Dream would be a bungalow athe the Polynesian with the private splash pool.

Favorite of the ones I've stayed at was definitely the BC.

Well, I used to think it would be Royal Palm Club Theme Park view at GF because it seemed to me like the most deluxe of the deluxe resort experiences. However, I am now doing some preliminary planning for a splurge trip and can honestly say I DON'T KNOW. I have narrowed it down to CL at BWI, YC, WL, AKL, or GF.
Nothing is like RPC!!

I've been lucky enough to have a few stays at my dream resort, GF. I had a stay in RPC once, and it would be my dream for every stay to be in a deluxe room in RPC.

Say money was no object, which resort would you stay at? And why? :)

If money was truly no object and I could just keep shoveling it at Disney until they said yes, I'd buy a stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite.

But since that's not even a "with all the money in the world" option, I'd have to say the bungalows at the Poly. I really, really, really just want to stay there for one full day and night.

My dream resort has always been Polynesian and Beach Club. We finally got to stay at BC last year and it became our favorite resort - the location, restaurants, the amazing pool and the rooms are gorgeous! If money was no object, I would book the Poly for 2 weeks in the Bungalows or just do CL in one of the regular rooms.

I stayed at the Poly in May with an MK view and it was AMAZING! I would gladly do that again. But if money were truly no object, I would stay in a 3 bedroom lake view Grand Villa at the Grand Floridian and invite my parents, sister, and nephews...as long as I get the king bed of course!

If I had money, Polynesian hands down. I love everything about this resort.

But based on where I've stayed, CBR. I too love this resort and love the fact that it's huge.
