Favorite Dolphin Excursion

We are cruising on the Western the week of June 5th. Our kids are 10 & 7. Can anyone give us any feedback on the dolphin excursions available? This seems to be the thing they are most excited about. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Haven't done but we are going to do it. We did not go through disney. We did a search for the islands.
Got a better excursion for a better pirice. Search Cozamel

Hi there is loads of feedback on the dis boards about this, the most popular is the royal swim and i understand the best deal is to book direct through chankanaab park where you can stay and play all day, if your going to orlando first we did discovery cove dolphin encounter which was awesome, yes its more expensive but you stay all day at a gorgeous resort, numbers are limited , a full lunch is included , you get to snorkel with tropical fish and swim with stingrays and you also get 7 days admission to seaworld with the price, if you are doing the non swim you get everything except the dolphin part.

We sail May 8th and I tried booking the royal dolphin swim at Chankaab in February and every excursion was full. You can fax or e-mail the company directly to see if there are openings-but do it soon!!!! We were terribly disappointed that we got shut out of this. There is a waiting list, but I don't anticipate that we'll get to do this.

We are settling for the Disney dolphin excursion, but I couldn't find another excursion company swim when I searched. The drawback with Disney is that it is not an actual swim, but just an encounter i.e. petting the dolphin etc.

Just being on Cozumel will be worth it.

I booked the Royal Swim through shoretrips.com for October. The kids have to be 8 years old for the Royal Swim. I'm not sure about the age for the encounter but I think its 3. The encounter is the one thru Disney.
