Favorite Disabilities spot for viewing parade & wishes?

First off, do they let you in the disabilities spots for Celebrate the Magic/Wishes or is it only for the parade? Are they the same spots or are there different ones for the different activities? If they do let you use those spots for CTM/Wishes, how soon can you go there? If they only let you use them for the parades, how soon can you go there?

And lastly, what is your favorite spot and why? As far as I know there are three spots...1) by the flagpole /near train station, 2) near the partners statue, and 3) in Liberty Square near where the parade makes its turn. Please let me know if I'm mistaken. I'm going to need to sit down during the parade/wishes and I don't want heads in front of me.

I do not think there are any for wishes as they are in the sky as per disney, but you can do FP and see both. This is what I do when I go down you can see most of the parade as it goes buy and if there is a second one I just catch that one.

since you need to sit I would do FP if you can not get FP then maybe one of the wheel chair areas and then head behind the castle after the parade and watch wishes from there ( I like it because it gives a cool almost 360 view of the fire works)

There are no disabilities viewing areas for Wishes. As was mentioned, using one of your Fastpasses to use the Fastpass Viewing area for Wishes might be your best bet. That doesn't guarantee that you will be in the front of the Fastpass area, but they are usually less crowded, so you should be able to have a space where no one is standing really close in front of you if you hang towards the back of the space.

The spots you mention for the parades are the disabled viewing areas for parades (day and evening). You can see them marked on the park maps with a 'P' and a wheelchair symbol.



They usually start roping them off and allowing people into the area about an hour ahead of time. Guests with mobility devices will be lined up across the front of the area, right behind the rope. A child or one other person may be able to sit on the ground in front of the mobility device; the rest of your party will be directly behind. If it's very busy, they may have a second line of mobility devices right behind the first line.
There is no seating in those areas, so only guests with mobility devices will be seated.

It's not possible to see Wishes from the Frontierland location. For the other spots, the parade viewing area is looking the wrong direction for Wishes. The castle hub is closer to the 'show'. The train station hub is a farther away view.
As far as which area to be in, a lot of people leave the park after Wishes. If your plan is to leave right after Wiahes, you will be closer to the exit at the train station. That area gets very congested though with people leaving.
The recently completed castle hub construction created a walkway path and a viewing path. Both are likely to be crowded, but at least if you are in the viewing path, you won't have to deal as much with traffic.

I have heard they are getting ride of FP for wishes some time in April (I think the 18 or 13) due to budget cuts I do not know when the OP will be there

We haven't been able to book Wishes FP for our trip in May. I was really hoping to get into the FP+ area with the kids. I am assuming as I haven't heard otherwise the area will now be open for everyone. Serious disadvantage for me (great for others though!). What would you suggest to do now? The spot in the hub looks nice for the nighttime parade (it is still going towards the castle, right?) - how would view be for wishes if you stayed in that area? Or how easy would it be to move to the last FP+ sections?

yes the night time parade dose go towards the castle. I think you could see wishes form the hands cap spot maybe if someone really tall is not standing right in front of you. Our first week is actually Universal and beach. We won't be at WDW until May. I am hoping someone can give some insight how it's gonna work when the FP+ area is gone. It'll probably be a mess so close after getting rid of the passes. I am really really torn on this. On the upside, we can now use the FP+ on another attraction. On the downside no more less crowded spaces.... *sigh*

Thanks everyone for your responses. I will be there on March 30, but I've already gotten my FP's and I believe Wishes will be sold out by the time I'm done with my three, so FP is very likely not an option. I will have a rollator so will be able to sit no matter what and the fireworks will be in the sky so I can look up. Also, it's not absolutely necessary that I sit during the show, just for the time waiting for it to start so I need a place along Main Street or the hub that I can wait. I just can't stand for long periods of time. We will be willing to wait from about 745-8 for the 9pm show. I think I will try to find a spot near the castle hub and wait for Wishes, which starts at 9 and then hop over to the accessible reserved spot near there after the show for the parade which starts at 10. Is it possible to get into the accessible area before the 9 pm Wishes and then turn around to watch the fireworks since I would be facing the other direction? Do you think they will open the accessible area before the Wishes show or after? I will not be leaving the park after the parade. We were unable to get FPs for SDMT so we want to try to ride it after the parade. For this reason, do you think I should head over to the Frontierland area to watch the parade after the Wishes show ends so I'm not fighting the crowds trying to leave the park? I could take the back way to Fantasyland from Frontierland and avoid the mass exodus from the park after the parade.

the second parade ( if there is one) you will have no problem finding a spot it normally is just one deep and I do not think they have a disability viewing are for it. there is no wishes FP for that time (I have heard cut for budget but that is neither here not there) I think your best bet is to find a spot for wishes about 2 or 3 hours before ( you will really only be waiting for an hour or 2 here is why) you can watch the parade from where ever you are even if you are not in the front as a good amount of the parade is up high so you should be able to see some ( and maybe have dinner while you wait) celebrate the magic happens maybe 15 minutes after the parade ( the castle show) then about 15 minutes latter wishes if you can stand for wishes I would you could have your roller infant of you so then there will be no one right in front of you. then after wishes wait about 10 to 15 minutes ( have a set and rest ) there will be this mass exits and then find a spot to watch the parade ( again if there is a second one) along main street maybe the ice cream poller and my be get some ( the ice-cream sandwich is good a huge )and watch the second then you can go to 7DMT

The second parade is at midnight and I will be way too tired to stay for that one. I'll be lucky to make the first one that starts at 10, but thanks for the advice anyway.

well I think you could do the area near the castle then if you wanted to go to fantasy land I would watch wishes form the bridge going to tomorrowland you I do not think most people think of this as it is not right in the middle of main street so you may get lucky and then you can go do what ever you like and should not have that much of a problem with the crowds

just saw you are going march 30 that night MSEP is after wishes which I think is strange I thought it was before wishes and if there is a second one after. that is going to be fun getting people out of the middle of the street for the parade.
