My vote is for AKL ! It's not just my opinion - the Travel Channel has had several "top ten resort" shows where the Animal Kingdom Lodge was their top pick. I think these episodes were "best family resort" and "best themed resort". I realize that some will list it's "remoteness" as a negative, but I believe that that both fiits in with the theme of the resort and the necessity determined by having the animals in the enviroment they need.

I love the WL!! I can't stay anywhere else. When I walk in, I am just overwhelmed by the grandeur of that lobby and everything about it. :)

I voted for the Polynesian, although I have yet to visit a deluxe that I didn't like, so I may be easy to please :goodvibes these are the reasons I picked the Poly;
1. Location, location, location
2. Multiple transportation options, you don't have to take a bus everywhere
3. The pool- it's awesome, there's nothing like watching Wishes from the Volcano pool on a hot summer night
4. The laid back resort atmosphere
5. The beautiful landscaping
6. Lots of wonderful, easily accessible dining options
7. Hawaii concierge building
8. The incredible drinks they serve at the poolside bar and the Tambu lounge

Of course, most of these reasons could apply to any of the deluxe resorts, I don't think you can go wrong no matter what you pick

Wow. Thanks so much. Poly is winning with a tie between AK and WL.

I love to read everyone thought behind their choice.

Polynesian because we can get to our 2 favorite parks by my most favorite mode of transportation-the monorail.

Plus when we do have to take the dreaded bus, we wait in the Poly bus line (this is when we are at a park, etc..) & look to see which bus comes first the Poly bus or the TTC bus.

And it is the first place I stayed way back when & it just gives me lots of warm fuzzy memories of my childhood.

Oh & how can you not help but love the view of the castle? And hear the sounds of the MK?

Beach Club...sand bottom pool! Awesome! :flower:

Ditto!
I also love that it is a stones throw to the International Gateway to Epcot, we usually like to have dinner in the World Showcase so this works for us, we can always walk right back to the room while others are fighting for a bus! :cool1:

Just wanted to say Hi  we are neighbors (almost)
Brookfield CT here!

We've stayed at AKL and WL. I fell in love with the Wilderness lodge. Its on the lake near MK. Taking the boat to MK was so relaxing.

what a GEORGEOUS picture!!!!!

We stayed at the BW for a romantic getaway! It was awesome strolling from Epcot after eating and drinking around the world and then heading to the Boardwalk for some night life before calling it a night. It is romantic and beautiful.

Now, with kids, life is different! (Understatement, I know) but our toddler has us retiring early in the evening. The Boardwalk night life is really fun and we look forward to trying it again in a few years. Right now, our family requires a one bedroom at the home away from home resorts. Our toddler will not sleep in the same room with us yet, because he thinks it is time to wake :cool1: up if we use the bathroom during the night!

Each phase of life is different, and we hope to continue our trips to WDW each year. Thankfully, each resort has different things to offer. You can't go wrong with any of the deluxe choices. Infact, I look forward to trying them all! After our toddler moves to a bed, we will probably look toward the monorail resorts!
