What are some of your favorite CS resort restaurants (lunch or dinner)? Favorite meals there? My husband and I are heading back in January for the 3v3 soccer tournament, likely staying at CSR and have eaten at Pepper Market (and Gasparilla Grill at GF while we stayed there, loved it!), but would also like to try a few restaurants at different resorts with the group we're going with. Where do you recommend, and why?

Thanks!

We just stayed at AKL, and I was really impressed with Mara. The flatbreads were huge - served me for 2 lunches. The African Stew for only $9 (I wasn't on the dining plan) was a good-sized portion and very flavorful. And of course they have the "normal" food court stuff.

I also liked their method. You placed your order, they gave you an electronic "reminder" thing to let you know when your food was ready, you paid for it, got your drinks and sat until your reminder went off. Then you got your food, hot & tasty. Limited the "standing in line", and everything was made fresh.

Love POR CS "RiverMill" it has a "Create your own Pasta"
Pick the shaped pasta you like, then the sauce: cream, maranara, pesto, then add ins: Sausage, chicken, shrimp (or none Veggie),
from choices I had i remember: roasted red pepper, artichoke hearts,
basil, there are plenty more choices. Then they cook it up for you
in a fresh pan with olive oil and at the end you can add fresh
parmazian cheese. You get a garlic bread to go with it.
This is Yummy and its a pretty large serving. The atmosphere in the eating area is very cozy and pleasent with all the water wheel gears.

My sister and I ventured over to Captain Cook's at the Polynesian in January. We loved it so much we had to go over again when we went in August. We split a ham and pineapple flatbread (both times). It was a huge portion and plenty for the two of us. When we went in August we also split a side salad and a fruit cup. I remember feeling like the flatbread was reasonably priced. Good luck!

We really enjoy the mod and the value food courts, great food and large portions...DH is in love with the taco salad from POFQ.

Capt Cooks at the Poly is my favorite for the chicken lo mein or the BBQ pork sandwich with house made chips

My favorite is the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary. My personal favorite item is their Chicken Ceasar Salad with the dressing already inside and unlike other counter service locations their salads are made fresh each time you order them, so they are not pre-packaged and kept in a fridge. Besides that I also like their Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza and on Saturday's their soup of the day is Corn Chowder which I also like to order.

Another vote for Captain Cooks at the Poly!! Their flatbreads are great! And they have Dole Whips. And the bigget cupcakes I've ever seen!! We liked Captain Cooks better than some of the TS restaurants we ate at!

Peppers Market at Coronado Springs was impressive with its options when I stayed there a couple years ago.

Worst: Saratoga Springs! Small, crowded and rude CMs

We like the make your own pasta at POR. We also like POP Century's food court. DH likes the fish sandwich and I like the chicken alfredo dish. We both loved the sundaes. They were huge for the price.
