Favorite Counter Service Rest DL

Bengal BBQ and Rivere Belle Terrace. Cafe Orleans was one of my faves, but now its a table service (I'll get to try if for the first time as a table service next month)

Plaza Inn. Sooo pretty in there. Not so much for the food, although it is fine and huge portions, but the atmosphere.

Bengal Barbecue when we feel like more of a snack than a meal.

Pizza Port for the pasta.

Plaza Inn for the fried chicken when we're all really hungry and want big portions we can share.

Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA for breakfast. I like getting the egg bowl since you get a whole sourdough bread bowl, DH likes the croissanwich, and the boys like the baked goodies.

Hear great things about the stuffed potatoes at Troubadour Tavern and really want to try those!

We love Pizza Port for the pasta, Plaza Inn for the fried chicken and atmosphere (Walt's wife Lillian decorated the Plaza) and Rancho for the Mexican. Also love Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast.

Plaza Inn for pasta, Stage Door Cafe for fish and chips, Royal St Veranda for veggie gumbo, French Market for their 3 cheese veggie gratin, and Pacific Wharf Cafe in CA for their veggie Chilli.

where in fantasy land is Troubadour Tavern? why have I never noticed it in my millions of trips???:confused3

Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast. I like Tomorrowland Terrace even though you can get a chesseburger and fries anywhere. When we would go to DL on our annual family vacation we would always eat there so its a tradition.

Plaza Inn for DH & me and Hungry Bear for the boys.

Do you have boys? That's why it took us so long to notice it. It's back near the Princess Fantasy Fair. In fact, if I'm remembering right, I think you have to go through the outer entrance to the princess area and then it's just to your left. We still haven't been, but I remember noticing it finally and reading about it on these boards a bunch of times. It's on my to-do list for a future visit.

I love the Plaza Inn for the Fried Chicken dinner! I dream about the stuff!
Pacific Wharf Cafe for the Clam Chowder in the bread bowl.
Gibson Girl for the Sticky Buns and coffee!

Also, it's pretty new.

thats it ! I have boys so no PFF for us! I may have to check it out , the potatoes sound sooo good

Hungry Bear... Cause you can sit out by ROA and wave at people on the Mark Twain. You can also throw fries to the ducks until you get scholded by a cast member!

RBT for bfast, best there is. :)
Rancho for quick mexican, it's americanized mexican but it's still good
PP for a good salad/pasta combo (DD10 and I share)
TPG for a good burger, love the Wild Bleu Yonder burger and the condiment bar!
Award Weiners has good dogs as well
I really enjoyed the Cesar Salad at the Farmer's Market in DCA
and our family enjoyed the Luckey Fortune Cookery as well

Tomorrowland Terrace is one of my favorite counter service. The lines are very long the whole day, but I like what they offer.

Corn Dog Wagon on Main st for the corn dogs.

Hungry bear for chicken sandwich and I just love sitting by the river.

Hungry Bear is such a peaceful atmosphere, and has usually quiet bathrooms! I like to just sit there whether I order food or not!

Bengal Barbecue is great for a light lunch/dinner when you're having a big meal at another time during the day. Their prices are great, too! I LOVE the bacon-wrapped asparagus!!!! :lovestruc

In CA, the Pacific Wharf Cafe has SALAD in a bread bowl. Very interesting combo! I like the apple slices one.

Up until a few year's ago I would have said French Market hands down. But after the changed the menu, I can't stand it.

Now it would be Bengal BBQ and Pizza Port (only for the pasta)

Same here! Loved the old menu; the stuff on the new menu? Yuck!

As for what CS I do enjoy:

Pizza Port... (for pasta & drinks with refills...especially nice in the summer)

Rancho del Zocalo...yes, the food isn't the most authentic...but it's good for what it is, and they also have refills on drinks. Also, I like the dining area.

River Belle Terrace... (but only for bereakfast; not impressed with the lunch/dinner offerings). The dining room is very pretty, and it's nice to sit outside on the patio, as well.

Honorable mention: the Hungry Bear...I'm not much of a burger person, so I'll just order some onion rings (big! fresh! yummy!) & have a snack break, watching the ducks & the riverboat go by.
