Where is your favorite counter service eats at both DL and DCA? What do you order?? Thanks! :tinker:

I love:

French Market (DL) (French dip, only available at lunch)
Pizza Port (DL, I love the chicken pasta)
Sourdough Bread Bowls (DCA) (Broccoli Cheese bread bowl, chicken salad)
Whitewater Snacks (Grand) (Nachos are huge and good, Roast Beef, I like breakfast here too, a great breakfast burrito)

These are my favorites for fast food at the parks!

Thanks a bunch. Wanted to let you know that we went to WDW for the first time last year and stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarters. Loved it. Have a wonderful time. Oh, and if you have any questions about the food there, ask me away. We ate like kings and queens. My husband even made a comment the other day about how good we ate. :wave2:

Does the veggie skewer include the bacon wrapped asparagus? That was something I was going to try. Oh dear!!! Or is there a skewer that is pure veggies. Thanks! :tinker:

Thanks, I am sure you will regret that later as I will have a ton of questions as it gets a little closer. That is the one thing I am so excited for is the food choices at WDW.

Were you okay with FQ not having their own restaurant? Do they have a food court or is it only at POR? Thanks

POFQ has a wonderful food court. We ate there every morning and some lunches. Our very first sit down meal in WDW was at POR for breakfast. We arrived at 6:30 in morning and knew we would need a good meal. So we hopped on the bus to POR. It was great. Hope you are doing the dining plan. It is so worth it. Of course, there were 10 of us, eight adults, one 12 year old and a 2 year old. So we really did use every penny alloted to us. I wish DL did the same thing!!! Anyways, we ate all over the place, and I coordinated it to whatever park we were at, at that time of the day. Don't know how much more I should say on this post. Maybe I need to be on the WDW thread site. What say you DIS moderators?? Oh well... :cool1: You can e-mail me anytime and I'll tell you more if you like. :tinker:

You made me laugh! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Glad to know I can still try the bacon asparagus. :tinker:

Another vote for the snack bar at the Grand Californian! It's NEVER crowded there, food is better than in the parks and price is reasonable.

Also, the bakery on Main Street has some incredible sweet treats!

At the back of DCA is an area w/several choices for counter service (kinda foodcourt like) and it's decent.

I love the Pizza Port in Tomorrowland.
Lots of pasta, pizza, etc, and the portions are huge. You could really split each portion between 2 people.
Plus, I always refilled my pop on the way out. That's the only place I know in the parks that I could do that. Any counter service in the parks that includes a free refill is not to be missed in my book!

Just an FYI--Pizza Port no longer has the cheese ravioli with the kids meals. It's been replaced by what it on the menu as cheesy pasta. But, these are not what you think they might be--they aren't mac & cheese, but little sacks of 6 cheeses and are sooooooooo good, way better that the ravioli was and I was a fan of the ravioli. Also, the Terra Nova Tomato Basil sause has been reformulated (again--they keep changing it) but I think they improved upon it. It was a bit spicy for me before and now it's not spicy anymore. Also, there isn't cheese in the sauce anymore.

DCA - Taste pilot's - Burger and fries, but I keep meaning to try the ribs.

DL - Pizza port - the sweetpea loves the bread sticks and side salad. I really enjoy when they have the chinese chicken salad there. Very yummy.

French Market - sweetpea and I love to share the fried chicken.

And we also love to just get a corn dog at either park.

We also like Pizza Port in Tomorrowland, we split the chicken pasta.

DCA Taste Pilots Great burgers and waffle fries

And an FYI for everyone...we went to Coke Corner looking for the famous Cherry Coke, and two people told my husband (last week) that they no longer have the Cherry flavor. They do have Raspberry and Vanilla though. He was really disappointed!

It is at the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA, at the end of the Boudin Bakery building and across from the Mission Tortilla factory. I think it is around $8 and it is yummy and very filling.
