We thought we'd try a couple new counter service restaurants at the resorts this trip. What are some of your favorites? We already love Pepper Market so no need to mention that one. We have been to the ones at:

CBR -- least liked of all
WL
PO-Riverside
POFQ
Poly -- but not since the change
CR -- but not since the change

I really enjoyed the choices at SSR's Artists' Palette, although the line/payment thing still needs some help (I heard it's better than it used to be, but it still seems a bit problematic).

Wilderness Lodge's Roaring Forks is fine, but I didn't think it had a huge selection.

I'm not a big fan of Artist Palette, found the food to be blah...

I think Sassagoula FoodWorks has the most variety, but love the new automated ordering at Captain Cooks at Poly.

Hands down the best "Resort" CS IMHO is Captain Cooks at the Poly.

Love the Adult Grilled Cheese..yum!:goodvibes
The burgers are great too.:thumbsup2
Breakfasts are really good here too, the scrambled eggs and Mickey Waffles and of course the Tonga Toast!!!!:lovestruc
And for no other reason to give the vote to CC is...the Dole Whips!!!!!

Our personal favorites:

Poly: Captain Hooks, we loved it
Coronado Springs: Pepper Market- our all time favorite!!!

PEPPER MARKET BY FAR!!!

There is a huge selection and it is so nice to even get it to go and sit outside by the lake to eat at the tables.

MMMMMMM TOMORROW :)

I am a bit biased but I love Artist Palette at SSR. But it is our home resort. Also, from there we take the boat to the marketplace and goto Earl Of Sandwitch.

The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread is wonderful at the Artist's Pallette @ SSR!!!!! My FAVORITE!!

Well, I know you've already been, but I thought the design your own pastas and salads at POR were quite good.

I actually think the value resorts have the best CS places. Although, I probably wouldn't make a trip there just to eat unless you felt like photographing yourself with some giant icons.

I agree that the Allstars have some pretty nice food courts! I know you said resorts but at DD, I LOVE earl of sandwich and wolfgang puck express!!

Mara at AKL was "blah" at best in our experience. Very disappointing and actually helped in our decision to NOT stay at the AKL again last year or this year. not bad food, but nothing impressed us and some meals we had trouble choking down.

On the other hand, we really enjoyed Captain Cooks at the Poly, and returned there several times during our trip and was never disappointed.

My sis and her family stayed at the Poly earlier this year and when I asked my niece (age 8) what her favorite restaurant was at Disney, she eagerly told me it was Captain Cooks! Funny, because they've been going to Disney every year and have stayed at many resorts but this was their first Poly stay. I don't think it's incredible, and certainly not our favorite restaurant on property, but we enjoyed it for what it is - CS.

We have eated at CBR and POR food courts and really enjoyed them and found them very similar to POP and ASMu.

We are giving CSR a try for dinner (hopefully) and breakfast in a few days.
