Forgot we actually bought our laminate flooring from there. A month later there was a coupon for $8 off per box - I went back and they refunded me the difference.

I forgot to add one perk that I loved. We bought a new car using their car buying program. We looked at a few dealerships to find the car and features we wanted. We negotiated the best price that we could get. We then contacted Costco and they sent us to a local dealer's fleet manager. We told him what we wanted and he called us back and said he could get that for us. The price we were quoted was thousands less than our best deal! The next day we went and picked the car up. It took about a half an hour. It was the most pleasant car buying experience that we have ever had.

For us it is becoming much more what do i NOT get at Costco.

I think the only thing we go to the grocery store for is Reynolds foil - non-stick
Saran Wrap (brand specific)
odds and ends - fillers basically btw Costco visits

My Costco is about 25 minutes away. If it were closer....oh my :scared1:

Our last air conditioners, phone/answering machine, TVs, mouse, clothes for hubby, batteries - the list just goes on and on

The Kirkland brand is fantastic. All out ove the counter drugs comes from Costco and usually Kirkland brand

We always start our visit at the food court. Have my 1.50 hot dog and drink (with refill on hte way out the door). Saves me tons of money on impulse buys when not hungry

So worth the membership fee :thumbsup2

Their croisant sandwhich tray for parties. OMG they are FANTASTIC!!!! It's now my go-to meal when we host casual parties! I just have them cut them in half rather than thirds (my crowd are big eaters and like larger portions). They are great for all kinds of party foods and drinks since it's all bulk. Good prices on beer, wine, and liquor too!

Love Costco!
these are a few things we usually buy there:
  • meat
  • bread
  • snacks for the kids (Zbars, pretzels, no HFCS applesauce, no HFCS drinks, etc.)
  • organic choc milk for lunchboxes
  • Nature's Domain dog food
  • dryer sheets
  • Kirkland trash bags
  • beer (DH...LOL)
  • V8 (DH)
  • Monsters (DH)
  • Vitamins
  • Olay Regenerist products
  • Cereal
  • Some tortellini things they have (kids love these)
  • Greek Yogurt and Go-gurt
  • OJ
  • Turkey Meatballs

To those who purchase the costco dog food, you are all aware it is from China and the company had recalls in the past for contamination.

You may need to check your source of information.

Kirkland Signature dog food is made by Diamond Pet Food which is made in the United States. While a recall went out for Diamond Pet Food for possible salmonella contamination, Kirkland dog food was never proven to be contaminated. It was just a possibility so it was included in the recall.

We've been feeding our dogs Kirkland dog food for a long time and have never had a problem with it. In fact, our vet is the one who recommended it to us.

The food's great but we've also bought a lot of household items from costco (and costco.com) like a foodsaver, portable hard drive, mattresses, a rug for my living room and sonicare toothbrushes. After a lot of price comparing I think we're going back this weekend to buy a new TV.
Has anyone tried their printer cartridge refill service?

Yes I had mine refilled there last time and so far they have lasted longer than refills I had done at office max for 2x's the price.

In addition to all the normal deals at Costco, they also give gift cards for DCL cruises.

This coming June, 2013 we will have close to 2K Costco gift cards from a family cruise!!

I agree!

If you buy your cruise through Costco, you can also buy their travel insurance, which seems like a pretty good deal, esepcailly for older travellers. You can get Pre-Exsiting Condition waiver as long as buy before you are paid in full. -- Suzanne

You must have it confused with another brand

My Aunt and Uncle just returned from an Alaskan cruise they got thru Costco for $299 per person! That's a great deal and they really enjoyed the cruise.
I love the $1.50 hotdog/coke and the ice cream bar and frozen yogurt are also delish.
I buy Dave's Killer bread there, 2 loaves for little more than the price of one elsewhere. The take and bake pizzas are huge and loaded with toppings. I love to read, so the books and magazines are also on my list, much cheaper. Pain relievers, clothing, produce, amazing chicken salad, really delicious rotisserie chickens (and larger than the grocery store ones), fresh fruit and veggies, toys at Christmas, fresh fish, and...so much more. Though I cant buy most things in huge quantities, I still save lots of money shopping there. I will also admit that shopping on a Saturday morning and trying all of the free samples is very enjoyable! It's smart of them too, because I have ended up buying some things that I wouldn't have even known about if I hadn't sampled them. Love me some Costco!

Holy cow! $299 per person for a JULY Alaskan cruise?!? {Off to Costco to price cruises}

Does Costco offer discounted memberships when they open a new store? We're finally getting one this Fall.

We joined for one year when we were going to Hawaii and really liked them. I've been waiting for them to move closer to us to rejoin.

A new store just opened in Ann Arbor, Michigan
They gave a $10 gift card to new members.
Maybe the same in all states.:)

I spent some time & $$ @ Costco yesterday evening!

Got the stainless steel garbage can w/ bonus mini can for $42!

Kids and I liked the pesto and tortellini *had both at my uncle and aunt's last month* so I purchased those.

Got DS some black Gold Toe socks for church.

Kids love pita bread *toasted* and hummus ~ I do too, so I got both of those.

Got the Rescuers and Rs Down Under on DVD! $19 *off to check Amazon to see if that was a good buy. *back from checking... it's $18 on Amazon, I guess a buck more isn't too bad.

Got this for DS for Cmas. Costco's price $10.79

My kids are on an Eggo kick - with an instant manufactuars rebate they were $6.70 *cheaper than the Kirkland "Eggos"

And lastly a giant pork loin ~ cut it into 5 smaller loins and popped them in the freezer.

They didn't when they opened ours that I know of. Could you tell me general area of AA costco? I really would love to be able to stop at Costco on way to Dad's and not have to back track to one in Granville, MI

We bought a Kirkland car battery in 2010. Last weekend when my car wouldn't start, DH took the battery back to Costco. They looked up our purchase history and confirmed the battery was still under warranty. DH was given a gift card in the amount of the price of a new battery (the price had increased since 2010), which gave us a brand new replacement for free.

I get my k cups there, great price. I don't mind that they are all the same kind. I love getting raspberries there, great deal. Kirkland toilet paper, paper towels, breathe right strips, Yasso Bars, Thomas's English Muffins (great deal!), meat, veggie burgers, chicken burgers, flank steak, books, dvds, bottled water....love costco!

Wow, that's great! I guess we'll be getting our next car batteries from costco. How long is the warranty on them?
