Favorite CM on DCL?

But in Jan, he was heading back to Scotland and if memory serves, he wasn't planning on coming back. Hope I don't steer you wrong! He was a real sweetie to my mil and helped a lot with her wheelchair. Always offered to stow it or go get it and called it her Ferrari.

Glad to know I was wrong and JOhn is still there...I was happy to point him out to my dh in Jan and told them both how much help he had been. He's a great guy.

If you get the chance, ask him why he doesn't bring his kilt on the ship...he's SO funny!

ONe of our absolute favorite CM's is Nyoman or Nyum Nyum as my kids call him. We first met him on the Magic in June 03 when he bartended at the ESPN club. My two boys and our friend's son spent so much time hanging around him. We were back on the Magic in Jan 04 and he had just returned and remembered us all immediately. We once again spent time always searching for him. At the end of the trip he gave my boys a shirt that he had just brought back with him from his home in Bali along with a wonderful note. It just meant the world to our family and I made sure to let his bosses know what a gem they have in him. (I also left him a great letter and nice tip for all that he does for us!) We e mailed him upon our return and sent a great picture of him and the boys. He really makes DCL great!

This summer, our favorites were Que who was a terrific Bingo King. We bumped into Shawn from a few years ago and he is now the Shore Excursions Officer. It was so nice seeing him. His clever wit is still intact! SheShe was wonderful last summer as a cruise staff member. She has now moved into entertainment so I had a hard time finding her but she is still a terrific staff member.

Another old friend is Sompong from the dining staff. We were so excited to reunite with him. He was not our server but we saw him a few times in Topsiders.

Thx MJ! I have pics this year too! My oldest is working on the website and then I will link them to the boards. You wouldn't believe how well Shawn has cleaned up when you remember him as "the nerd" or Bingo King. He was so cute. He asked me if I remembered his brother Eugene. Evidently, Eugene went to college.

I am trying to get a cruise for this fall on the Magic with just hubby since we are celebrating 25 years on 9/8/04.....still have to do some juggling of commitments so have to wait. If we book it would be very last minute!!!

We cruised on the Magic 7/17-7/24. Our servers were Zaldy and Al, and they were terrific! Both my kids cried and hugged them on the last night. Our server in Palo was Christian, who we also had last year. He is fabulous. Last year, our server was Bruchell, who is on the Wonder now-- a little to stiff for my taste-- and our assistant server was Andrea from Romania, who was the warmest, most adorable person. We were so excited to see her again this year! I wonder if the CMs know how much they really add to our trips, as we remember them so fondly all year long, and then look forward to seeing them again on the next cruise!

Welcome home jlawall! I'm looking forward to your pics too! I'm sure you had a MAGICal week. And we John Cunningham fans are anxiously awaiting word of any sightings. Did you happen to run into him during your vacation? Is he still a Head Server? We are less than seven weeks out and are practically living on the disboards extending our time on board vicariously through everyone whose going before us!

Our servers..Burchell and Constantine...great.

In Palo we had Marco from Italy...outstanding. He said he was not taking any more contracts..but when we were on the Wonder..the Palo castmember said..he did take another contract because his brother was back on the Magic.

Does anyone know if Marco from Italy is still in Palo on the Magic.
We are hoping to see him for our Panama/Mexican back to backs next spring.

Carmen was our assistant server on our very first cruise. She's wonderful!! We've run into her and chatted on our other 2 cruises. She definitely deserved her promotion!!

Just got off the 7/31 Magic. We had John as our HS. He was... interesting. Yeah, that's it.

We too just got off the 7-31 Magic, and the best personal attention we enjoyed was that of Rapheal from the Philippines. He is a floating server that worked the Walt Disney Theater, Rockin Bar D, Castaway Family beach, and several other places. In fact we're going to send him a "What Would Walt Do" pin. Unfortunately, our dining room servers (German & Anina) were nothing special and I hope we don't have them in the future. Otherwise the entire crew was outstanding, just hate to be home with reality.
