can anybody tell me how to remove and prevent those nasty yellow perspiration stains from t-shirts?
i don't know why, but they are only on one dd's shirts. not mine or the other 3 kids', just hers

My biggest tip is from FlyLady -- 15 minutes is longer than you think, and that most household jobs take less than that. You can unload the dishwasher or fold a load of clothes in about 7 minutes. I tend to build up the job in my head, when I could just get it done.

Here's my best tip:

If your kitchen cabinets do not go all the way to the ceiling, place newspaper on top of the cabinets. This will trap all the grease, dust, etc., and then each month (or however often you want), you can just throw the newspaper away, and replace with new. This means you don't have to scrub away the greasy build - up on top of them!

If you clean your mirrors with Zest soap and water, they won't fog up when you shower. I haven't done it lately, but it was true several years ago.

Using paper towels and Swiffer products is like throwing money away. I bout $20 worth of high quality wash cloths from Costco and use that for all cleaning (including on my Swiffer broom for sweeping floors) and just wash and reuse them. For mopping instead of the Swiffer WetJet, I use the Rubbermaid mop, it has a washable pad and a refillable bottle (I use vinager/water mixture).


Vinager and/or baking soda cleans just about everything...
...except stainless steel, for that Bar Keepers Friend is kick-butt awesome!

and last but not least I've learned that...if my house is clean, no one wants to come over. If my house is dirty, EVERYONE wants to stop by!
