Inspired by 'worst all time carol' thread.

What is your favorite Christmas Carol?

For me, it's Andy Williams' version of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"

I don't know if it's actually a Christmas carol, but you hear it a lot this time of year: Greensleeves

Alas, my love you do me wrong to cast me off discourteously.
For I have loved you for so long, delighting in your company.

Greensleeves was all my joy.
Greensleeves was my delight.
Greensleeves, my heart of gold.
And who but milady Greensleeves?

I have been ready at thy hand to grant whatever thou wouldst crave.
And I have given both life and land your love and good will to have.

Greensleeves was all my joy.
Greensleeves was my delight.
Greensleeves, my heart of gold.
And who but milady Greensleeves?

I can't pick just one!! Maybe "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

I love Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, because of the line,"God and sinners reconciled."

I also love "Joy to the World". Ever since I was a kid, I have loved "greensleeves" and "We Three Kings", because of their minor key.

Here are the Christmas lyrics to Greensleeves:

What child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh,
Come peasant king to own Him,
The King of kings, salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise the song on high,
The Virgin sings her lullaby:
Joy, joy, for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby and Bavid Bowie.

Christmas Canon by Trans Siberian Orch.

Any carol by Tennessee Ernie Ford.

Silver Bells is one of my all time faves.

Also, Silent Night is way up there.

O Holy Night is my favorite. Celine Dion does a wonderful version.

Absolute #1 song of all time, IMHO: Do You Hear What I Hear, as sung by Johnny Mathis
followed by Christmas In Sarajevo by Trans Siberian Orchestra, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by John Denver and Rowlf the Dog, and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town as sung by Springsteen (which is apparently a non-fave around here).

I love the LIttle Drummer Boy by David Bowie/BIng Crosby..it's got to be one of the most bizarre musical pairings I've ever heard but it's still cool. :)

i honestly can't say i have one fave since i have way too many. just a few of my faves would be Carol of The Bells and Christmas Canon by Trans Siberian Orchestra, Breath of Heaven by Amy Grant, A Baby Changes Everything by Faith Hill and The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole.

"Baby it's cold outside" By (I think) Dean Martin
Not a "carol" exactly, but A Christmas song!

Also,
"I'm the happiest Christmas Tree" Nat King Cole.
