Looking forward to our annual Dec trip. We will be there 9th - 17th, but I am having a hard time on what night to book my CP package with 2 of the dates still TBA. Still considering Neil Patrick Harris but was wonder who everybody's favorite is? Two of my favorites was Whoopi and Andie MacDowell in the past. So who are yours?

We've enjoyed CP narration from Hector Elizondo, Edward James Olmos, Cicely Tyson and Steven Curtis Chapman. I'm envious that my parents were in the front row for Dick Van **** (@DL) one year. I think Dick Van **** would be my vote for "favorite" ... but the recommendation for John O'Hurley would be a close second!

I've seen Steven Curtis Chapman, Whoopi, Heather Headley (Nala in NYC Lion King)....they were all incredible. Phil Donahue???? Not so much. Monique Coleman??? Not so much.

I'm hoping to see Neil Patrick Harris this year. I'm just not sure I'm going to pay the exorbitant prices Disney is charging. I may just stand at the back and watch/listen from there. I just don't think it's affordable anymore.

Ooh, you should definitely take advantage of NPH. I would love to see him, but discovered when the schedule came out that we'd miss him by a week. I know Whoopi is popular. I don't think you can go wrong with anyone. :)

We've seen four different narrators. Our favorite was Rita Moreno followed by Ben Vereen. John O'Hurley didn't do it for us, seemed too pompous. Isabelle Rossilini was too "fragile". Ben Vereen was enjoying himself and Rita really was the most engaged.

Steven Curtis Chapman and Kirk Cameron speak from the heart with commentary afterwards and that does it for me! I thought that Courtney Vance and Angela Bassett did a very good job as well. I think NPH says it like a script, so I liked him more than I thought I would, but not much as the others.

I try to see it least twice each year, this year it will be for Isabella Rossillini and one of the TBA. I'm going to skip over NPH since I've already seen him twice.

We are going to be there for Marlee Matlin, and I understand that's a wonderful performance, but DH doesn't want to do it again, he's seeing it with Isabella R.

Once I saw a young singer narrator who said at one points "because, you know, there was no room for them in the inn!" Whoever she was, that was my worse experience as far as a narrator goes. However, my DGF's daughter was in the "massed choir" so for that one, I concentrated on Erin!

Bobbi

I've seen CP narrated by quite a few celebrities, and I've really enjoyed them all. I really can't say I have a favorite, because I've enjoyed them all, and each brought their own personality in to the show. I've seen Jodi Benson, Gary Sinise, John Stamos, Edward James Olmos, Marlee Matlin, and Robbie Benson (voice of the Beast in Beauty and the Beast). Just from a totally sentimental POV, it was neat to close my eyes and hear CP narrated in Ariel's voice, as The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie. :)

Having seen multiple presenters our favorite was Edward James Olmos.

That's who I'd love to see. I've seen several, inluding Neil Patrick Harris. Although Rita Moreno was my favorite, he was my second favorite. The biggest disappointment was Erika ?, she was the Miss America at the time, I think. Fortunately that was the first year I saw it, so I didn't have anything else to compare it to and at the time I was only mildly disappointed.

We've experienced a few, but our all time favorite is Steven Curtis Chapman. Without giving them my thoughts, DH and DD agreed!:thumbsup2

We've seen Gary Sinise (who was good), Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel), someone else (can't remember - was a last minute replacement). But the very best of all was James Avery (Uncle Phil of Fresh Prince of Bel Aire). He was so good.

Another vote for Rita Mareno. She was absolutely "The Bomb"!

Also loved John O'Hurley, Gary Sinese, Phylicia Rashad and, of course, Whoppi. Neil Patrick Harris was also very good.

Although others love Steven Curtis Chapman, he was not one of our favorites. Just goes to show, different strokes for different folks.

Have a great time!

Where do you get a list of who will be the narrator for CP? I called the other day and they aren't taking reservations until 7-26 and couldn't find any information on nights or narrators. Thanks!

Our maybe I'll just go for TBA and it will really be like a Christmas present since I won't know who we're going to get until after we've booked! :santa:
