Well, I just deposited on our upcoming trip to WDW

Now let's get to the important thing.. FOOD! :woohoo:

We have 3 kids (15, 5, and 4) and the little guy is sort of impatient at restaurants, so we are looking for buffets/ayce places. We are looking mostly for dinners, but will be doing one breakfast.

What is your favorite and why? :confused3

Also, has anyone done Mickeys Backyard BBQ? Is it worth 2DDP credits? We did Hoop De Doo last year and it was great!! Looked at the Luau but it got seriously mixed reviews.

Thanks for your help!! :goodvibes

For character buffets, we always love Chef Mickey' and Crystal Palace. For family style (AYCE, and it comes to the table with minimal wait) we love Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern.
We experienced the Luau several years ago and really enjoyed it! The food was great and so was the entertainment! We enjoyed dressing in our Hawaiian clothes, too!:goodvibes

Our fav breakfast is Cape May, it is a nice quiet place first thing in the am and the food is awesome

For dinner we love Crystal Palace and the Beirgarten...your little ones will like the dancing and singing at the Beirgarten

We went to Biergarten last year and it was great!!! We love German food and it was actually quite good for a buffet. The entertainment was great and the kids loved it.

We have a few...

Crystal Palace breakfast.--our absolute favorite!
Boma for dinner--even my kids like it, they are 6 and 4
Chef Mickey's breakfast

Another reason I love Cape May is that each character comes by several times. At Chef Mickey's, CP, and Tusker House, they each came by only once (at CP, I remember eating several helpings of dessert waiting for Tigger to arrive-as a result, I got sick later). I didn't feel I had to wait as long between character visits at Cape May.

We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella's Gala Feast. The Step sisters were hilarious. On the flip side we did not like Boma at all. Not one person in our Grand Gathering of 12 liked Boma. We are not picky eaters and had trouble finding anything except chicken nuggets to eat.

We love Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. We eat at CP for dinner and Chef Mickey's for breakfast on our last day.

Crystal Palace by far has the best food at a buffet that we have found.

Beware of overdoing the buffets on a trip....We had too many once and it wasnt pretty.

For dinner I like Boma the best, though I also enjoy Ohana. My favorite character dinner, for food, is probably Liberty Tree Tavern. I love the breakfast with Pooh at Crystal Palace too though, if you are looking for a breakfast suggestion as well.

My girls (5 & 3) love the Crystal Palace and it is a must for every trip. Another favorite is O'hanas. It is not a buffet, but AYCE table service. The wait for our food was not long and we had plenty. O'hanas will probably be added as another must for every trip.
