My 7 yr old son is all about facts/trivia and did you knows so I think he would love to read about DL before our trip. There are so many on Amazon and a lot of them seem to be self-published which concerns me about accuracy. Any advice on which one to buy? Thanks!
The Disneyland Encyclopedia by Chris Strodder is very good. I have a previous edition, but Amazon is selling an updated edition from April 2017. I recommend this one! (I do think it only has black & white, small photos, but tons of text with interesting and useful information.)
A second vote here for "The Disneyland Encyclopedia" by Chris Strodder for the amount of information. I also really like the Imagineering Field Guides by Alex Wright. They are beautifully done with pictures and very easy to read and enjoy. Not always up to date but still fun. Something else that's fun are the old books that you can still get used on Amazon like "Disneyland-The First Thirty Years" and "Disneyland-The First Thirty Five Years" and my all-time favorite by Bruce Gordon and Tim O'Day "Disneyland Then, Now, and Forever".
