Favorite Appetizer or "Starter"

It depends - at a restaurant? we rarely do this - but if we did (had a gift certificate or something so it was free) it would be taterskins or cheese sticks.

If it's at home I LOVE sausage balls & pigs in a blanket - those are my FAVORITE appetizers of all time!

I voted for bread and oil, but my favorite appetizer ever is the onion six strings with the dipping sauce at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Yummm!

I agree--- DH and I have talked about the perfect restaurant, that serves nothing but appetizers. We would call it "Appeteasers" And next door we would have a shop for "just desserts"

Awesome - I'd be there all the time!!! When I eat out I have been known many times to order 2 appetizers instead of a main course! I love variety!

ETA: I just LOVE chicken satay skewers, crispy won-tons, chicken & sweetcorn salad in crispy pastry cups, and bruschettas!

Right now, nachos. Finding good nachos in London is almost impossible. ONE restaurant does them properly, and I crave them all the time!

It depends on if we are dining w/ or w/o the kiddies. If the kiddies are with us, it would have to be cheese fries (Lonestar). If no kiddies, the selections varies depending on where we are.

I picked potato skins because they are my personal favorite. But more often than not we get whatever "sampler" the place offers, since we usually share an appetizer, there tends to be something there for everyone in the sampler.
