Favorite all time memory at WDW

Ok! If you are like me, you probably have many favorite memories. But if you had to choose one which one is it? I'll start. My favorite was at Biergarten in Dec. 2006. My older son got to light the tree that night. The band leader made a big deal of it and he felt so proud. My younger one thought naturally it was his turn to get up on stage. Everyone sat down but he decided to go up and stand very close to the band leader. So when the band leader began to talk about the story of the Nativity as a child would hear it in Germany, my son (2 1/2 at the time) started to chime in. The band leader was a great sport about it. As he was telling the story, he would pause and hand the microphone over to my son, who mumbled Pizza! How's that for German ! The leader would then answer, "Yes, that's right the baby Jesus!" He kept going on about the story, stopping only to hear some mumbling and "Pizza!" Again, the leader, acting like the straightman in a classic comedy skit would answer, "Yes, yes, the baby Jesus and the wise men." The whole place was dying of laughter. Finally, my son answered the last question, with "French Fries."

I know it may not sound funny as one reads this post, but trust me my son was dead serious about pizza and he was up there for about ten minutes. Never shied away and thought it was great. Unfortunately we only have pictures as no one thought to quickly grab our camcorder and record it.

After that trip, my whole family came, we decided that was probably the best memory. Nothing like a spontaneous 2 year old to blurt out Pizza and french fries in a German restaurant.

My favorite memory was my dd telling my dh she knew he would keep her safe and she would ride any ride he wanted. For us, being parents of adopted children with RAD, it meant more than you can imagine. I know its sappy but it was like we were finally a family.

Going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on our last trip (December 2007) with our five-year old son. As we walked up Main Street, we saw the castle lit up with the new lights for the first time. I've travelled to a lot of places, but that was extraordinary by any standards. Actually, that whole night was perfect: Low crowds, nice weather, little or no lines. It made the entire trip.

My DD's face when, after waiting in the judges tent for the first time, she finally saw what we were waiting to see...the Princesses. She's seen the princesses many times since (and is always excited) but nothing will beat that first glimpse.

My favorite memory was getting engaged by the castle, but now that our DS is here, I have so many to choose from. I would have to say that my dh talking silly to my ds in epcot has to top the list, along with our son's first ride on POTC and the full circle on the train. He was so happy and alert and entranced by the lights- it's such a joy to see everything we love so much through the eyes of our baby!

I don't have one specific time but my memories involve anytime I was there with my grandmother. From the time I was really little she had really agressive cancer so it was hard for her to walk long distances. We always got one of the push wheelchairs and at some point during every trip I felt the need to push her myself. I hae many great memories of sitting in her lap and taking all the sites in but my favorite times were pushing her around the world!
* I really doubt this could be done today as I was a horrible driver and the parks were MUCH less crowded back in the late 80's and early 90's

Mine's really sappy too but it is honestly my fave memory of WDW. In 2003 my sister, nephew, daughter and I went to Florida and visited my grandparents on the panhandle. We then drove to Orlando and met our mom at the airport. The 5 of us stayed at Disney world for 5 days and had a blast! When we came back mom was diagnosed with cancer and she died in 2005. So that was the last trip we took with her and hands down the most memorable. My mom was a very unique person and to put it nicely...she had an extremely unhappy attitude most of the time. But when we were at Disney world she was always in a great mood and laughed with us. She loved it there so we are greatful that we got to make those memories with her.

Our first trip in 2002, we were there for DD's 3rd birthday. I managed to get breakfast with Cindy in the castle. DD dressed up in her Belle dress, complete with shoes and tiara. She was completely obsessed with Belle. So we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, then her beloved Belle walked up to our table. I thought she was going to pass out. She could hardly talk. I didn't think it was possible for someone that little to be so excited about anything!

2nd place would be 16 months later, also Breakfast at Cindy's. My Mom got to meet Mary Poppins. So sweet!

3rd place is DD in a full fledged freak out that she was tall enought for Test Track. Pure joy for my little thrillseeeker.

My favorite WDW memory was in 1989, my mom and I took my grandmother to wdw for the first time. My mom let me invite a friend to come along as well. We all had the best time. We stayed at CBR the first year it opened. We even got my grandmother to go on Big Thunder Railroad. I will always remember watching the electrical parade with my grandmother. She died 2 years after we took that trip. I was very close to her and it hit me hard when she died. I will always be grateful that I got to spend that time with her in my favorite place on earth. That was my favorite trip and I know no other trip to WDW will ever compare to that one. I think that's one of the reasons I love going to WDW so often (and why I work there), walking down main street is like walking down memory lane with my family.

My favorite is all the memories from our past two trips! My parents came with us and I really enjoyed watching them with my DS. I could tell they were so happy to see him experience Disney! We've had some tough times over the past few years with medical problems (my Dad with cancer, my son was a preemie with life threatening complications) and at Disney, it's easy to forget about life's problems and focus on having a good time!
One thing I don't think i'll ever forget is my Dad at VMMCP and the parade - he loved it so much and couldn't stop talking about it!

My favorite memory was my 7 year old's first visit to WDW. She was 5 at the time. The first park we went to was Epcot. As we watched Illuminations that night I looked over at her. As the lights reflected in her eyes a tear rolled down her cheek and she had the biggest smile on her face. I asked if she was ok. She said, "Mommy this is the prettiest thing I ever saw. Thank you for bringing me her. I love everything and I love you." That of course was followed with hugs and kisses galore and lots of tears from mommy.

My favorite Disney moments are always of walking down Main Street and catching a glimpse of the castle, I always get choked up a little! On our last trip however, after I began to tear up, I looked over at my oldest son and he was teary-eyed too! We hugged and he said "we're finally here Mama", after months of anticipation of course! I can't wait to go back!

My hubby oldest son and I were crying our eyes out. The CM's were quite upset and asked what was wrong... through some blubbering we told them and on the ride we went again.


When I asked his school if we could take a week off from school they couldn't wait for us to go. Disney unlocked speach for our great kiddo and the school is happy to see him return to his magical place!

My favorite memory was last year during Spectromagic. It was very crowed and we had staked out a great spot almost an hour prior and DS (almost 3) was so excited. Snow White was walking in the parade and she came over to my DS, stroked his cheek, cupped his chin in her hand and said Well hello there handsome. Tears welled up in my eyes and I told my DH this trip was worth EVERY PENNY!

This happened before I was married or had a child.

One morning on the bus to one of the parks we sat across from a Mom and Dad and their 3 year old daughter. It was their first day. The little girl was looking out the bus window when she saw the Mickey Ears water tower at the Studios. She got so excited and just beamed and smiled the most beautiful smile you've ever seen. (I can only imagine what she was like when she saw the castle!) From that moment I knew Disney was a magical place and that I wanted to share the pixie dust with my children someday. My DH and I hope to take our son in November so he can feel the same joy that little girl did.

OK, lets travel back in time...The year was '76 or '77, it was my family's first trip to the Magic Kingdom. We drove down to Deltona to visit my grandparents. My grandfather had my younger sister, i believe 2 at the time, on his knee as we watched the original Tiki Bird show. Just to see the twinkle in his eye as he sang to her.."lets all sing like the birdies sing...tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet tweeet.

We've had many wonderful memories at the world since but this immediately came to mind when seeing the thread title. Thanks!!

In June 2005, my sister and I took my then 16month old son (dh stayed behind and financed the trip lol) to WDW with some friends of ours. He had never even been to the fair so I wasn't sure how he was going to do with the rides, let alone the characters. I was a little worried about it. The first day we were there we went to Animal Kingdom and shortly after we had gotten there we stumbled upon a Character Greet with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eyeore. I figured then was as good a time as any to introduce him to characters. I woke him up and stood in line forever. Pooh was first and he wasn't sure what to think of him. When we got to Eyeore he was all about the characters. When we were done my sister sat him down for us to walk back to our stroller and move on through the park. He stopped and turned back to Eyeore (and lucky for me I still had the camera handy and Eyeore was down on one knee) and gave him a kiss on the nose. It was all spontaneous and I couldn't have asked for a better moment. It wont let me post pictures yet or I would post the picture. It is the greatest moment of our trip.
