We're booked into ASMu this November. It's like "home" for us as we've stayed here more than any other resort, so we feel like we know our way around more. However, we haven't stayed there since 2005!!! Since then we've stayed at Coronado, and then Pop Century due to deals we've gotten (free dining). Anyone know when Music was updated last, etc?

What's your favorite All Star? .... I love the layout at Music, but trying to get other opinions. :)

Our fave is Sports. The layout is compact so it is less walking even with a non-preferred room. Also during non-peak times when busses are shared, they are picked up first, so it's easier to get a seat. Same for drop-off - it's first too.

I like the Music the best out of the 3 (Sports, the least out of the 3 re: décor and layout). For me, Movies has the best atmosphere, layout and Food Court for me. My parents have stayed at the Music and like that one equally to the Movies.

Never thought I would say this but SPORTS.
Several stays last few years.
Like the location, the layout, the food court.
All trips have been good, good service, fresh rooms etc.

2nd would be Movies for the theme.

3rd would be Music.

Threadjack: I go in early Feb during "15s" and Cheer/Dance season. I'm sure they are all over the All Stars.

I stayed at POP in a Preferred room this year and really had no problem with the numerous groups except it could be hard to find a table in the food court at breakfast.

Of the 3 All Stars, is one food court less packed than the others at breakfast (7-8 am)?

This ^^^^^ Feel the exact same.

That being said I think POP is my fav value b/c I like the access to AoA food court and the dedicated bus service and the lake.

Same here! Sports is my first choice, great layout, less walking even with standard room. First drop off and pickup for buses. Cant beat that! Movies is my 2nd choice... and Music is dead last for me. Aside from my horrible bed bug experience (i know, it can happen anywhere) i just didnt like the layout of the resort, too narrow. Felt like way more walking than at sports. I also didnt care for the theme.

Yes! I agree!

Never stayed at Sport. Our favourite all-star would be Movies for the theming. We stayed at Music this past March and it was okay (I preferred it to Pop) but the rooms really need to be updated.

So from what I'm gathering here... it's pretty much just a matter of personal preference and not quality of resort? I like the layout of Music, but also the theming.... I would have stayed anywhere if FD would have been offered during my trip LOL...

Movies. We just like the theming better, because it's more "Disneyfied." We switched to Music to take advantage of free dining this year, haven't stayed there since 1998. We're hoping to get a room in the Jazz section.

We stayed at POP a couple years ago, and while I wasn't crazy about the resort itself, or the layout, it was sure nice at the end of the night to jump on an AoA bus and get to our room sooner! We waited for 2 AoA busses as opposed to an estimated 5-7 busses to POP! It was crazy packed!

I think it's TOTALY personal preference!

Music has always been our favorite (normally Music with Movies our second choice) but we reluctantly stayed at Sports last trip and were pleasantly surprised! I'd stay there again.

This trip is Pop. I have always had ZERO desire to stay there, so I'm hoping I have a Sports kind of experience, lol!

Well .... for me .... I do think Music's layout makes it much less desirable for logistics and personally it's too dark at night, I don't like walking around the resort. I have no issue at any other resorts with this, not even at 2 am after a party.

Pop Century has access to the Art of Animation resort? How far is the walk to it?

Where are they open this late at WDW Resort? If I recall correctly, Pleasure Island was opened until 2 a.m. Of course, that isn't around anymore. Miss the spinning dance floor! Anyway, I know ... :offtopic: !!

I guess I'll add that I generally have felt safe at all the resorts, even though I usually stay at ones that have generous amounts of wooded area behind each.

- Parties at MK end at midnight but you have until after 1 am to leave, we often get a snack and sit to let the crowds leave and then we go. Doing that by time we get back to resort it is closer to 2 am.
- Some EMH end at 1 am, again by time you get back to resort it can be 2 am.
- Some of the DS Westside businesses are open until 2 am.
- Atlantic Dance Hall at Boardwalk closes at 2 am.
- Jelly Rolls at Boardwalk closes at 2 am.
- We also venture off-property where things stay open late.

I'm a city girl so not easily bothered and have many times returned to our resort alone with my DS, who is disabled. I am never bothered at any other resort, and honestly at that time I usually see CMs cleaning. Music, very dark and the standard rooms being far in the back (Music is set up different than all other values) it was uncomfortable, especially since we never saw CMs. Our last time we had back in Broadway and the parking by our rooms had a number of 18 wheelers and other equipment. (didn't help police were called to our building twice in one week).

120+ Disney hotel stays, only resort I feel uncomfortable.

Of the three, we've only stayed at Movies, but we really enjoyed it! It was a lot smaller than I had anticipated. The theming was fun (my kids went CRAZY over the Toy Story section, where we stayed) and there were a lot of cute little photo ops (the 101 Dalmatians TV was especially darling). The food court had a lot of variety (I like the food court a lot more than POFQ's...I'm a big fan of the taco salad, which was very tasty, filling, and reasonably priced), and you could even get alcoholic milkshakes (I didn't try one, so I can't attest to how good they are). We liked the pool; it was actually the first time we'd taken advantage of a resort pool, and the kids really loved the Sorcerer Mickey water feature. We never shared a bus the whole time we were there. The double beds surprisingly weren't a big issue (and my husband and I are not small people by any means).

If we weren't trying to stay at a new resort each trip, we'd totally stay there again.

Short and simple, walk across the bridge at the narrow part of hourglass lake. AOA was originally supposed to be the other half of the century (1900s-1940s). Check Google maps and you can see how close the 2 resorts are.
