DTW (Detroit-Wayne County) - the Northwest "A" terminal. Any airport where you can get a massage, facial and eat sushi is FAB in my book!

ATL (Atlanta) and CVG (Cincinatti/Northern Kentucky) and MCO (Orlando) are great too - lots of food and shopping choices in all 3.

Vegas without a doubt. They have slot machines. Other then that anywhere someplace warm and tropical will do.

Can't say I have a favorite airport. They mostly all hold bad memories of delayed flights or missing luggage.

Our local airport - BHM - is easy to get in & out of so I guess it'd be my choice.

If you've gotta be stuck somewhere for a long time, those with lots of stores & restaurants are preferred. So in that category would be Charlotte, Philly, Ohare, Denver. I've spent lots of time in all

Vegas and Pittsburgh. I love Pittsburgh airport, but you just can't beat slot machines right next to your gate in Vegas.

Worst airport: O'Hare!!!!!!!! I hate that place. And it never fails, if I get a layover there, its always a long one. Grrrr!!!!

I was just there this past week (flew into DTW sunday, flew out thurs night) and it's a beautiful airport, esp. that Northwest Terminal! I had 3.5 hours to kill there and walked through all the little shops and had sushi at Sora! It was busy in that little restaurant when I got there and by the time I left, it was PACKED with people waiting to be seated.

My vote would be for European airports, they are far better than any one in the USA. (With the exception of Charles DeGaul in Paris, that was one of the worst). I have flown in or out of Heathrow and Gatwick in London, Rome, Naples and Milan in Itay and Munich in Germany and all were great places to fly in or out of.

In the US, my favorites are MSP and MCO, but my very favorite of all is Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. Huge, but so well designed, and the train station is right in the terminal to get anywhere in Europe!
