Favorite affordable Disney Springs restaurant?

It is in between Earl of Sandwich and the Christmas Shop.
The menu looks good. it was open when we were there but it had not yet had the grand opening. We had just eaten or I would have tried it!

I'll add Pepe by Jose Andres to this list. I had the Pepito de Ternera for $18 last trip and it was one of the best things I ate all week.

We loooove d-luxe fries, but struggle with the prices for burgers. This summer, we got 2 kids meals - one nuggies, one cheeseburger and had both sides as fries. We dumped the fries out of the packaging onto the tray and were shocked to see the mountain in front of us. The kids burger was a good sized patty on a slider-sized bun, and the nuggies were delicious with all of the dipping sauces. Bonus - they come with fountain drinks! For the price of one burger and a regular fries we got waaaay more food ordering two kids meals. Highly recommend!

I think I know the answer to this (stupid) question...

...Do any DS restaurants allow you to charge your purchase to your room? Alternatively, will they let you pay with a Disney Gift Card?

(I'm specifically thinking of eet and EoS)

They should all let you pay by Disney gift card (we had an issue at Wine Bar George, but that was their system having issues). I am not sure about paying to your room by Magicband.

Earl of Sandwich for sure. We've actually taken a bus to Springs, picked up sandwiches, put in a tote bag, walked allll the way to the bus stop, dragged on the bus back to BC to relax and eat while watching TV. Crazy I know.
When we stay at SSR, I walk to Earl myself and get sandwiches for the family to enjoy back in the room on our balcony :)

I've heard great things about the Pepito de Ternera and also saw it featured in one of Molly's YouTube videos from several months back.

But the online menu for Pepe doesn't have it listed.

Anyone been recently? Can you confirm if that's still on the menu?

Amazing sauces for average chicken tenders at The Chicken Guy.
Didn’t have any of the sauces but the chicken was well seasoned, not dried out and had a nice golden colour. Unlike what you frequently find in other parts of WDW. I’d eat there again without having my arm twisted.

Chicken Guy is my DD's favorite so we eat there a lot. I do want to try Eet, though!

Bumping to see if anyone can report whether the Pepito de Ternera is still available at Pepe or if it's been removed from the menu.

We love Polite Pig and have always received great table service there. Love that you don't have to wrangle a tray - they bring everything out to the table, will bring refills, and will clear it all away. We even ordered a second round of drinks from the table once.

Another great option for light bites is The Basket at Wine Bar George. I love to grab a Dole Whip Moscato and a cheese plate there!

I was at Polite Pig yesterday and it was very good. They ask you to tip when you are paying, and I advise not doing this. The cashier stated to me: once you order and sit down, you will get 'full service'. I got NO SERVICE. No help, no refills, nothing. I had tipped 18% on the pay pad and I really felt cheated.

You can always leave cash on the table if your 'server' was excellent.
Yeah that happened to me as well I thought it was really weird to ask for a tip in front of everyone at a quick service restaurant!

Chicken Guy and Polite Pig are real good places for a not expensive meal...our favorite all around restaurant in DS is Art Smiths

I actually really like Everglazed. Outside of donuts, they have a really good savory menu. Their chicken sandwich is amazing.

A lot of times, I still eat at table serve restaurants and can hit right around the $20 mark - plus or minus $5. Obviously depends on what you order. But places like Rainforest, T-Rex, and House of Blues all have very large portions, and have sandwiches, salads, burgers, and appetizers right around $20 or less. Similar for City Works and Splitsville. Your total bill, with tips, or if you get drinks, will likely creep up near $30 - but Polite Pig won't be too far off either if you get one of the BBQ smoker options.

If I really want to keep it cheaper - like food for $15 or less plus a drink with a total tab around $20, then it's usually DLuxe Burger, a sandwich at Polite Pig, Chicken Guy, Pizza Ponte, Cooke's; in an outside-the-box idea, consider a walk over to Artist's Palette at Saratoga as they have some pretty decent sandwiches and salads...it's only a boatride away, or a 1/2 mile walk from Rainforest.
