I'm trying to figure out what to give my guest as a little gift... so many ideas have popped into my mind:idea: . What did all of you have or having at your wedding?? If you can also post pictures.

Thanks

i'm giving little bottles of wine, since all but 2 of my guests are of age, i thought it was great!!! they're coming from a winery in clearwater! you can google it, it's muriel's winery in clearwater, fl. i think there might be pics on my pj!

We're giving everyone classic black Mickey ears with their names on them - not cheap, but it's gonna be sooooo worth it when we have pictures of everyone - including my snobby anti-Disney brother - wearing them! :rotfl:

I can't take credit for this site but am going to post it anyway...
www.cmbcrafts.com

I saw it on somebody's planning journal and had to check it out myself. Her work is great if you like homemade/personal items. I auctually placed an order with her for christmas gifts. I family is going to LOVE them. Perhaps ill take pictures of them when I get them and be a personal advertiser. She is also really nice and will work with what you want. (sorry don't know her name)

Anyway its just something to check out! Oh btw VERY reasonable prices.

We didn't even have guests at our wedding, but I couldn't resist the custom M&M's!

Bouncy bounce, if you don't want to give out favors, don't worry about it. Your loved ones will be at your wedding simply to share in your happiness. Nothing less, nothing more.

Now, if you still want to give out a little something, try to theme it to either your event or to you as a couple. Make it personal and fun.

For my FTW vow renewal, I simply didn't have the time to worry about favors, and none would have been given out had it not been for a third-party vendor that Disney had put in touch with me. Thanks to this vendor, a couple of fun treats were added to my event. I'll share links to a few of them below, but I need to mention that this stuff doesn't always come cheap. The bill from my vendor was nothing to sneeze at, especially when you realize that I only had 22 guests at my event. I also was charged a delivery and set up fee, a licensing fee, and another fee. The fees do add up so make sure you know what they are ahead of time.

Here are some links to a few of my photos:

Mickey Krispies Treat
Ruby Slippers
Runts Candy Purse

As you can see, some of the treats had dual roles: Mickey Krispies Treats and Runts Candy Purses doubled as place cards in the Western and Land Of Oz venues. Those items made the tables more festive & personal. I should also mention that my vendor personalized paper cones for the rose petal toss at the Wedding Pavilion and napkins for the outdoor dance party at the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park. I don't have photos posted of these items, I'm sorry about that.

One final favor that I asked my Event Manager to arrange was the delivery of Mickey Mouse Ears as the group photos were being taken inside the Wedding Pavilion. This was a surprise to everyone and went over quite well. I think my favorite vow renewal photo is the following: click here. Life just doesn’t get any more real than that. ;)

I hope this helped. And congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

I may bring plastic bags and ribbon with me on the trip down. Once I'm in Disney, I'm going to buy chocolate covered mickey pretzels and wrap them up as favors. I think that would end up cheaper than having Disney make the chocolate mickey heads.

As a server who has attended MANY weddings, here is my hint:

nothing but a donation card on the table, send a donation into an organization you support or has a special meaning to your family, leave one or two cards on your tables and consider it money well spent.

I can't tell you how many favors get left behind at weddings, all the time. Do you need fifty or a hundre chocolate mickey heads, wine stoppers, ice cream scoops, candied almond bags or votive candles(times them by 3)? If you do, go right ahead, but much of this stuff is either carted back by you that night to your hotel, thrown out or given to the staff that attends to your wedding (on your sayso, of course).

Also, forget the cute little card holders for your seating cards, 50% will be left on the table for you to take home, cute as they are, who needs 50 chinese fortune cookie seating card holders? (How many times do you plan to get married?)

Make sure you have the dj announce who gets your centerpieces or you will be carting them home with you too...

Keep it light, have a ball, and dance, dance, dance, PS: attend your cocktail hour so you will have time to meet and greet during that so you may actually get to eat and enjoy your own reception!

Best Wishes!:wizard:

Probably a silly question as I am guessing the answer will be the M & M store:rotfl2: but where did you get them from? Were they expensive, I think that is a fab idea. We are from the UK and don't have an M & M store but I know that there is one in Florida Mall, can you get them from there??????:cool1:

Only a month to go.:cheer2:

You can get the M&Ms at www.mms.com and it'll have a link to where you can personalize them. You can also have them with a logo and some text, which we're doing for our wedding. :)

I am having donations to the American Cancer society and the American Heart Association in honor of my mom and DF's dad. I made little scrolls with ribbon around it to have at each table...

At the end of the night we had a friend make mickey and minnie chocolates and I am making little tags that say "sweet dreams - love the new Mr. & Mrs."

We are also having welcome bags in their rooms when they arrive:
custom water bottles, chips, a cd that we made with all the songs that we love or that are in the wedding, maps, welcome letter, directions, itinerary, mickey cookies (homemade), and also I made a crossword and wordsearch that has to do with us to put in there as well!

I had gone back and forth on these so much. I wanted to do something so unique but in the end I had so much pressure on me I just let disney floral do these. Plus we didn't really do a "Disney" themed wedding so I thought I HAD to add the mouse in somewhere ;-) . I think they charged me $4.50 each they were dark chocolate (my favorite) but you can get them in milk or white as well. We also requested silver ribbon but i am sure any color is possible.

What a great idea my brother is also anti disney and is only going on the holiday because I am paying for his girls, they are my bridesmaids. I may have to get these just for him with a rule that he has to wear them all day. It is my wedding day after all :rotfl2:

You know I was against the candy idea but now that i saw how cute the mickey ears are I might do that. Where did you get them made?

Those m&m's look really nice in the tin, do you think I could order them from the u.k to have them delivered to a villa a day or two before our wedding?

LINZ XXX :cheer2:

bouncy bounce- Disney floral had them made for me, but you may be able to find the mold online if you want to do it on your own!

I am a huge fan of gifts, but if necessary I would rather them be very practical gifts. There's only 17 of us total, and they're all family members so I don't have to try to impress them too hard. I decided to buy some tote bags from www.cheaptotes.com because I'm sure my guests will end up buying souveniers and they'll have something more solid than a plastic shopping bag to bring back on the plane. I'm giving out Swarovski Belle cuffs to the ladies, because I got them for 75% off at the outlet's Memorial Day sale. I'm not having bridesmaids, but I figure it can be something that we can all match with for the ceremony. For the guys I bought these waterproof ID holders from ebay for about $5 each. They are a plastic hard shell on a lanyard, and they can put their credit cards, room keys and cash in them so they don't have to worry about carrying a wallet around to the pools. I'm making ID lanyards for the kids too, with "in case I get lost" information on them. I think I'll get the classic Mickey hats for everyone too, because I think the picture Janet2K took was so cute. But I think I won't be able to buy those till I get down there because they are SO much cheaper to buy personally than through the internet. I also got free personalized designs from the Creative DISigns here on Disboards (fantastic resource!). I'm going to iron them on to tshirts and have everyone where matching shirts for 3 of the days we're there. I'll also put WDW maps in the totes along with an itinerary of what we'll be doing everyday and everyone's cell phone numbers and important Disney numbers.
