In two weeks, I will be arriving in DL for the first time in almost 2 years! :cloud9: We are taking the Magical Express and hoping to arrive around lunch time, which for us is around 1-2 ish haha

I was wondering what your favorite quick service places are so we can grab some delicious food first?! Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

(We really have no plan so far of what park to attend first...)

Hungry Bear in Critter Country. They have an awesome fried green tomato sandwich, sweet potato fries, and really good cupcakes. I have read that the pie is good too. Nice setting as well.

-French Market in New Orleans Square: Our favorites are the Beef Stew in the bread bowl, Jambalaya and the Roast Chicken.

-Plaza Inn: Fried Chicken

-Jolly Holiday Bakery: Tomato Basil Soup and Toasted Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Salad on a Brioche, and the desserts.

-River Belle Terrace: breakfast menu is being served until 2:00 now - pancake stack or the MM pancake.

I'll second this! Our family loves getting fried green tomato sandwiches and sitting by the water. We like watching the ducks and wave to the people who go by on the mark twain or the Columbia.

DL--Rancho del Zocalo
Little Red Wagon (corn dogs)

DCA--Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta (Field Greens salad)
Cozy Cones (soft serve ice cream cones)
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate shop (hot fudge sundae)

In DCA, Paradise Garden Grill will still have the Viva Navidad! menu available. Try the chicken mole and the pozole. Yum! This is a special, seasonal menu which will be gone after Jan. 6th, so try it early in your trip if you can.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!! Looks like some places have some new menu items - cannot wait to try! :lovestruc:thumbsup2

It depends what you are in the mood for. In DCA, I like Flo's V8 café for the atmosphere. In DL, Hungry bear restaurant is yummy, and you get a quiet setting along the rivers of america. The skewers at Bengal Barbecue are good, but kind of small, though, so if you are really hungry, they might not satiate you enough. Or, of course, you can just get a classic snack such as a turkey leg or corndog. Play it by hear (or nose) and go for whatever you're in the mood for!popcorn::

DISNEYLAND riverbelle terrace has the best breakfast I love the cinnamon roll French toast

Lunch
Fiddler fifer at dca has a turkey croissant with honey mustard that is divine I love the atmosphere here too

Pacific wharf is yummy bread bowl salads and soups!

DISNEYLAND lunch

Hello monte Cristo!! Cafe Orleans or blue bayou for sit down.

I also like Bengal bbq but agree it's more of a snack or a light lunch that needs a churro after

Dinner goofys kitchen is so fun it's at the DISNEYLAND hotel and yummy, also room service can't be beat. The Nebraska charred chicken corn chowder is to die for. At the grand.

In the park I also like the corn dog carts the hot link corn dog is awesome

Snacks not to miss....
Fresh caramel corn is sold in dca right where the trolley stops to do the show, cotton candy is necessary, Churros are awesome, and you have to try a Mickey pretzel!

Disneyland -
Hungry Bear - Cheeseburgers and lemon cupcakes
Little Red Wagon - corndogs

DCA -
Tastle Pilots - Wild Blue Yonder Burger
Ghirardelli ice Cream - Hot fudge and peanut butter sundae, big yummo
Pacific Warf Café - Soup in a bread bowel

Stage Door Cafe has the greatest corn dogs on the planet and you can get fries and funnel cake with them!!!

Thanks again for all the suggestions! I feel like we won't be there enough days for all the places :rotfl:

Looking at the Hungry Bear menu -- do they only have sweet potato fries and onion rings? I really dislike sweet potato and was wondering if they still had normal potato fries?

Bengal Barbecue is my recommendation. The food tastes great and is unlike any other quick service food you will find. I particularly recommend the chicken skewers and roasted vegetables.

In DCA we really enjoyed the Cozy Cone chorizo cone and egg scrambles and the churro cones. Now I want to try everything else they serve in a cone : )

As of last week, regular potato fries were the default, with there being a $0.50 upcharge if one wants the sweet potato fries. So, not only can you get the fries you like, you can save 50 cents :p
