Fav. Concierge and why?????

After staying at pretty much all the WDW resorts from Mod. to Deluxe to Home away from Home, I was wondering what people thought of their concierge experience at their particular resort and what they didn't like about their experience? When we have been able to do it we stay in Concierge. I honestly ask myself if it's really worth the price but to see my wife and daughters and how they seem to love it, I just bite the bullet and do it if I can get a discount. LOL.!!! I'm guilty myself, I have to admit I've also enjoyed the experience no matter where we have gotten it!! Even though quite honestly some have been better than others. Thanks, Chip. Sorry so long!! My first concierge experience was at AKL and I've gone back and back again! I have no desire to try another resort. AKL is my favorite resort anyway!

We've done concierge at Yacht Club, Beach Club, Polynesian, AKL, and Grand Floridian.

My favorite - Beach club because of the Cast Members. They are really helpful, nice and actually remember you each time you go back.

Least favorite - Grand Floridian RPC, mainly because of the Cast Members. They are not very friendly (in our experience) and seemed put out when asked for assistance. The room was great, though.

I have stayed at the Poly, Yc, Bc and BWI concierge. I was not impressed with the Poly, I liked the BC and Yc, but found a new homw at the BW. I choose to stay concierge for the way I am treated, not any other reason. I have found the cast from the IPO office to the cast at the Innkeeper's Club to be Disney's best. I truly feel at home here. The rooms are beautiful and the lounge is large and relaxing.

We have stayed concierge at AKL, Boardwalk and GF.

Our favorite is AKL...the castmembers are amazing, they are prepared, friendly and truley want to make your vacation the best possible. (about 1 year ago)

At Boardwalk..that was excellent also..no complaints..we just enjoyed our stay at AKL concierge better and the offerings were better at AKL. (stayed two years ago)

GF concierge..disney should be totally embarrased by this. The level of service was definately not grand. The castmembers could care less whether you are there or not..they act like you are imposing..and basically they didn't have to do anything for us but check us in. This was main building concierge..just this past fall.

We have done AKL and YC concierge. YC is my favorite resort (for its location and the pool) and staying concierge there has always been great.

However, if I had to pick between them based solely on the concierge service and offerings, AKL wins hands down. I absolutely love the lounge overlooking the lobby, the food offerings throughout the day are wonderful and the staff is also fabulous.

I have done, Poly, YC and BWI concierge and they best by far was BWI. That hotel from the valet parking guys to the maintenance men front desk, concierge, IPO planning, well you get the hint, everything about it is the best

Thanks everyone for your comments, We've actually tried many different concierge levels at various resorts our recent being at Wilderness Lodge this past July. Although we really liked it it really wasn't as good as some others. 1 reason was there was no Lounge which we were aware of but we still didn't like that aspect even though we thought the cm's were great. The Boardwalk Concirege was really great. I honestly can't say enough nice things about all the cm's especially 1 lady whose name I cannot for the life of me remember but she was GREAT. Now even though some would disagree, our alltime FAVORITE is the Polynesian Concoerge. Not so much for the check-in cm's which to be honest a few times were not overly friendly but the Lounge staff. Who we LOVE most of all is a genleman who goes by Chief Dick. Just a wonderful man. Our girls LOVED this man as well as myself and my wife. He carves different things out of vegetables and fruits and is just a joy to talk to and be around. He really takes his time. Also the Lounge itself is great. My first trip to Disney World was poly concierage. I thought it was the greatest. We were whisked away in a golf cart to the Hawaii longhouse. The lounge was great; the food was great; i loved everything about it. As this was my only trip, I have nothing to compare it to. We are going to the YC and CR in October, 2005 and staying concierage. I hope it lives up to the Poly.

Oh my Gosh!!!!!! You are absolutely right!!!!! It is Jackie!!!! Wonderful woman and 1 heck of a Cast Member that went out of her way for our stay at the BWI Concierge. She is a TREASURE and we cannot say enough GREAT things about this wonderful woman and I DO mean wonderful woman!!!! Thanks, her name alone brings back wonderful memories!!! Chip.

Jackie really goes out of her way to make everyone feel special and have the best Disney vacation ever, not to mention, Lorenzo, Robin and a few others that I can't remeber their names, oh and what about the intern from college, he was a big help.....3 cheers for BWI concierge....HIP HIPP HORRAY!
