Hi there,
I was hoping I could get some feedback on what character meals that aren't breakfast people have enjoyed the most - and why.
We are from Calif. and last summer we found that doing character breakfasts were a complete waste with our 3 year old - due to the time change he just wasn't up to a big meal with a lot of excitement in the morning. We did do one character dinner at 1900 PF since we were staying at the GF and he loved that. So this summer I am planning to try to do some lunch or dinner meals - any recommendations?
Thanks a lot!

We enjoy dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and Chef Mickeys. LTT food is served family style and consists of salad, flank steak, mac and cheese, turkey and ham. Character interaction is fab with Minnie, Chip 'n' Dale and Goofy. Chef Mickey's is served buffet style with Minnie, Mickey, Donald and I think PLuto.

Hope this helps?

We loved dinner at the Garden Grille in Epcot. It's a revolving restaurant and you eat veggies from The Land. It's family style but all you can eat and they have a childrens menu - I think it's mac and cheese and worms and dirt for dessert. The characters (Mickey, Chip and Dale) are dressed in Farmer Gear and Pluto is also there. The food was delicious and started out with a salad and bread then steak, chicken, fish, potatoes, veggies and stuffing. The dessert changes but is good. The character interaction was great and they spent quite a bit of time with us. I think you will enjoy this we certainly did and are trying to make it a "must" everytime we go....:p

We always go to the Garden Grille for our first night, and our last night is at Chef Mickey's. Both are lots of fun. The most character interaction has always been at Garden Grille. They tend to spend more time with you, and come back again and again. We used to never miss The Crystal Palace.. but it gets so busy in there, that you end up sometimes not seeing certain characters.

Another meal we never never miss.. isn't a character meal.. but it's fun none-the-less... is at Prime Time Cafe. It's a must-do event for us.

We love Chef Mickey's and the Garden Grill. This year we are also adding 1900 Park Fare to our list. Hopefully this will be just as good.

Another vote for Garden Grill! I also enjoyed LTT and Crystal Palace, but Garden Grill had much better food than LTT and I prefer the family-style format to the buffet format of CP. I believe that CP and GG are now the only character lunches.

We love Chef Mickey's. The food is good (the mashed potatoes are out of this world) and the characters spent more time at the tables than the ones at Crystal Palace. Our favorite part is the "Celebrate Mickey Mouse" song they play every so often. Everyone, including CM's, stand and swing they're napkins over their heads. It's lots of fun for kids (we call it the 'fling your crumbs around' song)
