First even though this was sealed. in cellophane wrap. There was no peel off sticker on the end lid as there usually is. No problem I thought it was sealed like any other DVD. Opened it up no inserts, Hmmmm ok still can register my DMR points by taking the pic with my receipt. Just loaded the Blue Ray and the Disney castle comes up. All excited the castle is stunning as usual. Then Grrrrrrrrr nothing just the castle, no movie, it is running I see the count on the player. The water is moving on the picture of the castle. What, I think I have been scammed. I bought this myself just 3 days ago while shopping at Best Buy. So looks like I have a trip to the mall later today. They better have more in stock. I am furious.

How have you been scammed ? Defective disc maybe but scammed ? Just bring it back and I'm sure they'll replace it.

I know it does stink that you weren't able to watch it when you wanted to but I'm sure you found something else to watch instead right ?

Ok scammed was not the proper word, I was just so frustrated. But I was kind of thinking maybe since there was no seal and no inserts this might have been a return which I ended up purchasing. I do know they can re-cellophane wrap dvds. I know because I have purchased some previously viewed ones from different locations.

Is your DVD player up to date with the latest firmware? We had this problem with a Blu Ray once and it was because of the firmware. All of the previews and menus worked, but the movie itself would not work. Since this is a newer movie, it is possible that this is the problem.

This happened with our A Christmas Carol Blue Ray. I was able to exchange it with no problems as it was a factory defect.

Just tried to watch our Blu Ray and the same thing that was described in the OP happened....not sure what the deal is. DVD was fine. I'm going to have my husband check on firmware updates. If not, it's going back to Target. :headache:
