Fathers Day, MK, EE/EMH & crowds?

How utterly packed can we expect Father's Day to be at Magic Kingdom?

It is on a Sunday (obviously) and its also an Early Entry/Extra Magic Hour etc. day for MK.

We're doing Chef Mickey's at 8 AM that morning, so we won't be able to take advantage of the EE/EMH (poor planning on my part, but a hard ressie to get otherwise).

DS wants to do at least some of the fun rides that day (Splash/Space/Pirates/Buzz) but I'm thinking it's going to be wall-to-wall fathers and sons doing the same thing.

Who has experience from last year's Father's Day?

I would like to know the answer to this as well. We had thought about going to EE at MK and then hopping to MGM or Epcot. I'm afraid that it will be way too crowded at MK because of EE and Father's Day.

We will be there then, too. It never occurred to me that Father's Day would have that much of an impact! Guess we'll have to play it by ear.

We will be there for EE that day too! I really didn't think that Father's Day would have that much of an impact. Any advice from anyone who has been there in the past on Father's Day would be appreciated!

We are also planning on doing EMH on Father's Day, then going to WCC for an early lunch. Not sure what we will be doing for the afternoon/evening.

I've done a search on Father's Day and there isn't much information available.

I e-mailed Disney and asked if they were planning anything special for Father's Day (I had read that for Mother's Day, at Epcot, moms got a free carnation and photo with their families), and their response was "no." They suggested activities outside the parks, which would cost additional: golfing, driving experience, etc.

We were there for Father's Day in 2002 and I don't remember that day being any busier than the others. We will be there again this year. I guess we never plan which park we are going to visit until we get going in the morning, if one park is too crowded we just head for a different one.
