fathers day ideas?

Hi! We'll be in DW for fathers day this year (not planned--just realized it!)....just wondering if anyone had any ideas for something special our 2 sons (ages 2 and 4) and I could do? He's been working so hard lately...
Don't think a "sit-down" meal would be an option...I don't think we want to make that committment (ps) right now this far in advance as we have no idea what we're doing with trip planning!!
We're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

You could have a Father's Day gift basket in the room when you get there (or get back from a park). You could also book a fireworks cruise (if they still have them...? Maybe someone could help us out with a more definate answer about that...). Growing up, my family always went to WDW the week of Father's Day (it was planned...LOL).

Really don't know what your budget is, but my first choice would be something like renting a pontoon boat at Poly and getting a picnic lunch type stuff from Captain cooks and just cruise around Bay Lake and the Lagoon. If you want something cheap/free then how about the campfire at Fort Wilderness. If he wants something like family fishing trip or Parasailing you could check that out too. We were there once on fathers day. I did book Chef Mickeys for dinner. My dh didnt ask for it, I just did it, we couldnt believe people actually walking up to the cm asking for a table. She said, sorry its been sold out for months, the smiles I saw on my dh face and the 3 ds face were priceless. How about a dinner at bomas since you are at akl. Sit down ps for holidays go fast, so you might want to rethink this asap. Good luck deciding.
