Fathers Day....Ideas..

Fathers Day is right around the corner and I am trying to think of something great to do for DH. We don't buy gifts for Mothers day/fathers day. We always make something with DD for the day and do something extra special.
For mothers day, they made me a puzzle with a picture of me that DD drew on it and wrote "My beautiful Mommy" Brought me to tears and I LOVE IT! Now I am trying to move DH as much as he and dd did for me, but I can't think of anything. (not very creative)
I was thinking maybe a flip book of pictures of him and dd through the years (she is only 5, so there won't be many pages) and having her write the special times she has had so far with daddy and why she loves him so much.

Anyone else have any good ideas???

I think your idea is wonderful. As the single dad to a 16-year-old son and a 13-year-old son, I can tell you that things my kids have made for me over the years are hanging on my bedroom wall and living room wall -- they are the most cherished things I have.

We call all go out and buy lots of things if we want, but things our kids make for us mean so much more....

Last year was my husbands first father's day. I wanted to do something super sweet for him and I typed up the following poem and printed it on stock paper with "Father's Day, 2006" at the bottom, then I inked up DS's feet in blue ink and put the prints on each side of the poem toward the bottom of the page. I then framed it with a blue mat and frame. It turned out so cute!

This year, I'll probably do one with DD's footprints, plus I'm dressing the kids up in NY Yankee attire and having their picture made so DH can hang it up at work. He's gonna flip!

I made a calendar for DH from my boys. I only made it from June to December with the most recent pictures on my boys together for each month. The front is the 3 of them together and I wrote a message from both of them on the back. It turned out pretty good and it only took a few days for them to deliver it. All you have to do is upload your favorite pictures to the website (if you feel comfortable with it) and they make your calendar.
