Father to 2 y.o. Triplets planning trip in Nov.

Hello Group, I am a father to two year old triplets. Since this is our first trip to disney world I need some answers. Am I correct to asume that children under three there is no admision charge? Also, how reliable are the shuttles from down town disney hotels such as the Grosvenor or courtyard by marriot? I am also considering staying at the Days Inn Eastgate on W. Irlo Bronson, $ 29.95 per night internet deal. This is attractive because of the kids stay FREE and Eat FREE program that they have. They do offer Free transportation( reliability?). The rooms don't come with a fridge however Do all of the Down Town Disney hotels have the early admission to parks? What is the cheapest most kid friendly hotel in the area? Also, does anyone know what Disney charges for parking and do they validate parking tickets for re-entry the same day? Also, If I don't have to buy tickets for the boys can someone recommend my best course for saving money on admision for three days planning to visit all four parks. Any other helpful suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Triplet dad! Wow- three how incredible!! I have twin girls that are 9 now, but I remember getting those people who said "you poor thing- twins-I couldn't do that!" But they don't realize how great it is!!
Anyway, I highly recommend onsite stay!! I can't express enough how much easier it is getting around with their transportataion. It really makes it easier to run back to the hotel for an afternoon nap. I would recommend anyone with small kids to stay onsite!
I also suggest- to save space, (and your body) for traveling - try and get that room with a refrigerator in it- and I sent a big box of "stuff" (snacks) down to arrive the day before we got there. Just send a package to your hotel via UPS and mark your name all over it and put all your snacks and stuff in it. We put a bunch of breakfast bars and fruit snacks, licorice(sp?) and a few 8 packs of water in it. Its nice to go back to the room and kick back by the pool with cold water you didn't have to pay a fortune for.

I would love to stay onsite, however, none of the budget type accomodations can accomodate 5 people. If im not mistaken aren't all the all star hotels a limit of 4 people per room? If not please correct me, if so, is there anyway around that? A room with two Full or Queen beds would work fine for us. Just trying to save money.

Can't you have 4 in the AS Resorts plus one 2 or under in a crib? I think you can. If the triplets will all sleep together in one bed, then you could just by-pass the crib.

We just returned from the All-Star Movies and had 5 in the room. 2 adults and 3 kids ages 6, 4 and almost 2. The youngest slept in a pack-in-play provided by the hotel. I'm fairly certain as long as one is under 3 you can stay at the All-Stars. I would highly recommend this place. Also, I think kids under 3 eat free at the buffets so I would suggest trying some of the buffets for your meals. The All-Stars have 2 full beds. Since my DH and I are used to a king bed we each slept in one of the full beds and our 2 oldest kids slept on kid-sized air mattresses and the youngest in the pack-in-play. I was worried about the space but it worked out fine.

Most of the Days Inns in the Orlando area get poor reviews. Staying at the allstars will get you a clean room and transportation to and from the parks. A real bonus with little ones and naps.

I also believe this to be true, if you have even one of the five under age three a room for four can accomodate five with the pack-n-play. Who says you have to use it? The buffets are also a great suggestion, especially if you want to do a character meal. That way the kids are free and it's a great way to get autograph's and pic's. The character's will also slowly warm up to the little ones if they are scared. The character breakfast at Animal Kingdom's Donald's Breakfastsaurus, MK's Crystal Palace, or the Contemporary's Chef Mickey's are all three great. My daughter was 2 years 7 months when we were there this summer and she absolutely loved the characters. Hope you have a magical time with the little ones!

I'm beginning to feel like staying off site might be a mistake. Can someone please tell me how to book a room at the all star resorts? I have tried at disney.com and am not too excited about the process. Everytime I put in that I have 2 adults and 3 children it kicks me out saying that resort maxes out at 4. Also how can I get the lowest rate at the all-stars?

I addressed your AS's questions on the other board.... To answer a few others....If stying on iste it is my understanding that you won't have to pay for parking anywhere (except vallet parking ) at WDW. If staying off site and driving it is good for that day at all the parks. I agree with the others about eating buffets. Also many of the on site resturants have huge servings. If the kids will eat what you will you could easily order 2 adult meals and share with them at the none buffets.
As for the kids stay and eat free. Most places kids stay free. As for eating free just how many meals would you be eating at the resort? With only 3 park days you wouldn't get much done if you were eating off site most meals.
Will you be driving? If so I would reccomend getting an electric cooler instead of rent a frig. Wal mart has the Colmans with the carand electric plug for around $80. If it is too large Target has 2 smaller ones that are made to go between the seats of a van. We have the larger one and keep it in the van all the time. It comes in very handy.

like it is, I would definitely use a cooler instead of a fridge. I have an elderly coleman 12packer that I fill with waters and check with my suitcase, even when there's only just me going. A gallon ziplock of ice from the machine holds it 24 hours. Even if you need to take a larger cooler and make two trips to the ice machine, lots cheaper than renting a fridge.

if they don't get them at home, those zipper bags of mini oreos and mini ritz with p-butter make popular snacks and you can take them with you. I would also towncar from airport to hotel rather than mears, because of the oppt'y for a grocery stop, unless mears doesn't charge for the 3 babes.

I would NOT under any circumstances stay off property with little kids if I was dependent on the bus for transportation. It's easy to waste HOURs on those busses and you have to wait for them out in the middle of the bus parking lots, which imho is dangerous, besides being hot if the sun's out. Did it once, alone, Not doing it again, ever!

I'm another who is going to recommend the All Stars. Your kids will love it and so will you! The transportation is great at the AS! I have also read many bad reviews of the various Days Inn hotels in the Orlando area. If you must stay off-site, please try to find another hotel.

That's great that you have triplets. My DD [14] is babysitting triplets [will be 2 in Dec.] right now. I agree with everyone so far. One of the All Stars seem to be your best bet. I did see some people waiting for a bus in the parking lot. Really sounds dangerous. Have a great time whatever you decide.

Just my opinion - I think I'd skip Epcot and spend more time at MK if I were you, unless you really want to see it. Epcot was a little too "old" for our kids at age 2. There's tons to do at MK and our kids never get tired of it. Also, I'd recommend All Star Resorts - try to request a room by one of the playgrounds so you can take the boy(s) out if one wakes up early. Also, try to be close to the Food Court to minimize walking. Have a great time!

I just wanted to add that the bus stops at the all stars are not out in the parking lot. Each main building has a covered bus stop. The people cshaffer21 saw waiting for a bus out it the parking lot would not have been waiting for a WDW bus. Maybe they were a school group waiting for their bus. Either that cshaffer21 was referring to the earlier post about the buses for the non WDW buses. It was hard to tell from the post which was meant.

We are going in Nov. 2 adults and 3 children (9yo, 6yo, and 2yo.). We are staying at AllStar SPORTS!! When I called 407-WDISNEY and told them the number of guests the CM just said "You know there are only 2 double beds?" I told her yes that they could manage. So that was no problem just $59.00 per night!!! We also stayed there in Sept and got VERY good service and we were very pleased. Plus our 2 yo is a football "nut". He loves the stairways and the courtyard.

Go and have a great time. And if I may say so--YOU ARE BRAVE. When we were there in Sept there was a couple with a set of 2yo QUADS and a 6mo old.--THEY WERE ALSO BRAVE> I'm scared to take these BIG kids.
