If there is a Park that's cool just to walk around IOA is it, for sure, I actually like to just hang out at the Jurassic Park area, the visitor center there where the restaurant is and watch the boats crash down by the waterfalls. The Lost Continent area is also great just to hang out in, not to bring up eating, but Mythos is so cool, you will want to eat there and just soak in that atmosphere, practically worth the price of tickets alone. Of course the Harry Potter area, but in general, the theming at IOA is so great, you will feel like you've done a theme park with just the architecture without even doing the rides. With that being said I think you could possibly do Spiderman and the Jurassic Park Boat ride, not positive because your weight depends on how tall you are too, whether or not you would fit. But if you could ride those, also worth the price of admission.

OMG..you are so hard on yourself! I don't know the answer to your question...but I do know that quick weight loss leads to quick weight gain. Just make a long term commitment and go slow and steady. Maybe it will be easier since you are in it together? Love yourself and know you are worth the effort!!!

This is what I'm anticipating!! I can't wait to go to Universal (esp. the HP part) just to see the buildings, the re-creations, all the little amazing details. I wish they sold "walk-around tickets" for those of us who could care less about the rides and just want to experience the PLACE.

My parents don't like going on rides much but they are still wanting to go to IOA this fall with us. I, personally, think there's so much to see and do even if you don't do all of the rides! I've read on other threads that there is a castle tour for HP Forbidden Journey (can anyone else confirm this?) so you can see all of the neat stuff in the queue but don't have to ride. I've read the same goes for the queue for the Dragon Challenge. People have said those are worth it. I'd go and have fun!

Yes, there is a castle tour during non peak times. During peak times, all of the queue is used but during non-peak times they keep one lane open for tours.

Not to "Hijack", but...anyone with any height-WATCH YOUR HEAD on the Simpsons ride! ESPECIALLY in the back seats!
I've cracked my coconut a couple of times on that! (takes me a little while to "catch on" sometimes!)
