Fat free cheese?

I accidentally picked up fat free mozzarella for my lasagne I'm making tonight. Can anyone tell me how it will turn out or should I make another trip to the store?

totally agree. my experience says, fat free cheese doesn't really..."melt"... weird stuff.

Agree with the others. It is not real lasagna without real cheese.

I made homemade pizza with fat free mozzarella because I also accidentally bought it and it was horrible. The cheese never melted, it was weird

Thanks everyone I was afraid of that. My family loves lasagne and I don't make it often so when I do I want the real deal!

I don't think it tastes bad, but it will NOT melt well at all. I would return to the store as it will be obvious that something is wrong with the cheese in your prepared dish. (The fat content is responsible for the melting if I am not mistaken...take out the fat and it won't melt.)
