Fastpasses

I am a WDW veteran planning my first DL trip. Until recently and the advent of Fastpass + you were able to hold fastpasses at WDW beyond their expiry time and use them later in the same day without problems.

Is that still the case in DL? Or do they have Fastpass + now too?

DLR does not have FP+, but they are enforcing return times. So you must use your FP within the time window printed on the FP.

"Recently" means different things to different people but yes, it's been since March 2012 that FP enforcement began at WDW.

I guess recently wasn't a great choice of words but considering I visit WDW once a year it has only been my last recent trip that they were enforcing return times then fast pass + took over my last trip.

When we were there a few weeks ago, we had an expired Fast Pass for "Soarin Over California" (about 2 hours late) and I asked the CM nicely if we could still use it because my son needed a break during the return time frame, and she gave me a "ride swap" pass, which basically serves the same purpose. Sometimes, it doesn't hurt to ask, but generally, I think they enforce the return times, and it might not have worked for RSR.
