Fastpasses for not scanned park ticket?

I was wondering if fastpasses are still working on magicbands that haven't been scanned into the park. DH won't be with me on a park day and wonder if his fastpasses will work on his magic band if it isn't scaned to get into the park. We did this last year and wonder if it is still able to be done.

Nope. Guests swap MagicBands all the time, already, for FP+ use.

They don't care about the name. My son and nephew has the Under the Sea fast pass as that was all that was left and they let two young female cousins use their band for the ride.
