They should name the My Disney Experience the "Magician" because it made my fastpasses disappear. So let me give you the rundown. This morning I went on the Disneyworld website to add my son on to my Splash Mountain fastpass which also contained fastpasses for Peter Pan and of course Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. After going into "Change a single fastpass", I went through the steps and hit the next button to confirm. Keep in mind that I checked everything through the whole process to make sure I didn't cancel my other fastpasses. Suddenly I found myself back in the fastpass modifying menu and unable to do anything other than hitting cancel to get out of the page. I proceeded to do so and it sent me to the reservations page for that day ."Abbra Codabra", my other fastpass selections vanished into thin air. Of course when I went back to redo my fastpasses that got lost in space and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is stand by only. My wife called Disney while I frantically tried to make a reservation appear and the Disney operator nicely told my wife that she couldn't find any fastpasses for Seven Dwarfs and there was nothing else she could do. My wife also said that the operator insinuated that I did something wrong when modifying the fastpass, which I'm sure happens a lot giving the horrible design of the website, especially if your on a pc. However I have made modifications to fastpasses before due to dining and never had any other issues. I am so frustrated that I almost want to cancel my Disney vacation all together. But I really wouldn't. Is it me or has anyone else had similar issues? I used to be a strong believer in fastpass+, but now I give it a thumbs down.

I am so sorry for you! Sorry to say you're joining others who have had the same experience.
Disney should be embarrassed by their software for MDE, as it continues to lose FPs, ADRs, and even tickets. Plus, for many, it is a challenge to use, not a pleasure. Many report it works flawlessly for them, and they have a good time, while many others are frustrated and really unhappy.

I do have a suggestion. Don't be satisfied with some CM telling you they "can't" fix it, or there is "nothing they can do." That is not true. Ask to speak with someone who CAN make things right, then work with them until they do. Anyone at Disney who says your problem can't be fixed is not speaking the truth. Unfortunately, some have had to spend hours getting Disney to fix their mistake.

Good luck! Please enjoy your visit no matter how their new MDE tries to mess with you :)

I'm sorry that happened to you. This seems to be happening quite a bit according to other forum threads I am reading. Here is one from yesterday that might be helpful. Some people have had them magically reappear after losing them so I hope that happens to you. Something to do with changing your password and on another thread, they were lost after another family member logged in to MDE to check the itinerary. Good luck and hopefully they will reappear for you.

What if you had print outs or screen shots of the FP+s? Would they do you any good?

That works for almost anything OTHER THAN 7DMT and Anna & Elsa.

So one says screen shots/print outs help and another says it doesn't.... anyone else?

I haven't had any attractions disappear but I have had ADRs vanish. Had one for BOG and freaked when it was gone yesterday. Called Disney dining and was relieved to find they still had it in their system. The CM gave me the reservation # and when I tried to link it manually I got a message that "someone else has already claimed that reservation". What the.....?!? Tonight after removing 2 people from our BOMA ressie, I double checked to make sure it was still in my plans for the rest of us and it was. Now 30 min later it's gone. I figured the game of disappearing plans is Disney's way of keeping us entertained until our trip begins. popcorn::

I made a printout, and I've heard both ways too--it helps and it doesn't :confused3 It seems your heart goes into your throat now when you check your itinerary--will my stuff be there or not? :badpc:

we had our anna and elsa fastpass go missing before our June trip. we were initially told there was nothing that could be done however the GF ipo was able to issue a fastpass for us. If you are staying club level write an email to them letting them know what happened and how upset you are about it. If you're not staying club level then I would contact customer relations at disney.

I personally believe they have the ability to view what happened. sorry this happened to you. I feel like I'm seeing more and more of this posted about.

ETA- regarding the printout-i know people hear different things but I was told it won't work. They have no way of knowing if you printed those and then changed them subsequently. at least this is what I was told by disney IT when I asked what I could do to ensure that future fastpass+ are safe.

If you have screen shots than the CMs will simply rebuild your FP.....assuming they are actually available.....which 95% of the rides are available but things like Anna/Elsa, 7DMT, parades/fireworks....those aren't as readily available so the CMs can rebook you for them.

I think the differing answers have to do with the FP that are hard to get....those that have them are turned down so they say the print out doesn't work.....and those who have easily replaced FP think the CM is actually "restoring" them....when actually they're just rebooking what is available.

The problem with the print out is that you can print it out and then make changes before asking for something to be restored.

I would suggest that anyone making changes on their account ask the CM to do a screen shot BEFORE they make the changes......they may be more inclined to fix what they actually know were Disney sided mistakes, because they saw it with their own eyes seconds before they upgrade dining or added a person or tickets or whatever caused the disappearing act. Haven't heard of anyone actually getting this to work, but it would be worth a try.

Me....I make my FP tonight and I'm only going for the tough ones listed above.....and then I will not under any circumstance make any changes to my entire reservation, lol.
