This is the first time my family is flying into Florida, we usually drive and take it easy on arrival day. In September since we arrive so early, 8:35 am, my plan is to get to our resort (Caribbean Beach), leave our carryons with bell services and head over to Epcot. What time should I schedule our first Fastpass for? DH thinks nothing before 1pm, just to give us plenty of time to get there, does that sound realistic?

1pm sounds like a good, very safe plan.

But depending on your plans for lunch, and how gung-ho or "commando" you are, you COULD make your FP earlier, and do three rides with FP in a very short time! For example, make your more important Tier 1 FP at 1:00 PM (Soarin' or Test Track or Frozen ride). Then make your other 2 FP at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Your 11:00 AM FP, you can use up until 12:15 PM with the grace period. If you know you won't make it, you can use the app to move it to 2:00 PM.

I think 1 is perfect. We've landed at 10:55, checked into CBR and POR and made our first FP+ for 3-4

My mom and I are arriving to MCO at 9:30am in August. Due to a short time at Disney World before a Disney Cruise, our arrival day is the only day we have for Epcot. Our goal is to arrive at Epcot from the Poly by 12:30 (allowing about 2 hours for DME, 15-20 min for check-in/dropping off luggage, and the rest for monorail transportation to Epcot), so I made our first fastpasses for character spot from 1-2:00, Frozen from 2:05-3:05 and then have Spaceship Earth for 3:30-4:30. If I remember, I'lll try to report back and let you know how this plan goes. Hopefully we won't have any issues with our flight!

We have the same arrival day for our Sept trip. Our flight arrives at MCO at 8:35am and we are doing Epcot that day as well. We figured we just want to relax at the resort and swim since we are getting there so early. We plan on walking to Epcot from BC later in the afternoon before our 5:20 ADR at Garden Grill, so I plan on making our FP's for later in the day, before and after our dinner.

I'd schedule your tier 1, 1st FP+ of the day for 1p

Once you are on the bus to EPCOT, try moving your later tier 2 FP+ to earlier time(s)

1pm is a good starting point. We ALWAYS go to epcot on arrival day.

My typical arrival goes like this:
* Leave BWI @ 7am
Arrive MCO @ 9:30am
DME by 10am
wait for bus / etc. By the time we get to the resort, it's boardering on 11:20am.
Check in, give bags to bellhop, change to shorts (if needed), bathroom, etc. about 11;45.
Bus to EPCOT (usually wait 15 minuted, plus a bus ride), we are usually not in the park itself until about 12:30 or so.
We generally have a Via Nappoli around 2pm, and usually make that with a few minutes to spare, but we have to hike it across the park.

This is our EXACT same plan (leaving BWI at 7am!). Glad it works! :thumbsup2

We're flying out of BWI as well, thanks so much for your timeline, that's helps a lot!

We always go to the park on arrival day, unless we are coming in late at night. We take ME to the resort, check in, go up to look at the room and drop carry ons off and use the bathroom and then head right out (Getting in that early- you may not have a room yet- so your plan may be check in, drop carry ons at bell services, use the lobby restroom and head to the park). We find that we are typically walking into a park 3 hours after landing. That would put you in the park around 11:30. Giving you time to grab some lunch either CS at the resort or park, I would say that 1:00 p.m. would be a good time to set the first FP+. Outside of any flight delays, that should be perfect. I always make the first FP+ one that if we missed I would not be that upset- just in case of a delay somewhere. I've never once been able to pick up a 2nd Tier 1 FP+ at EPCOT even before noon and we take trips at times that are not too crowded, so I don't think you will lose anything by making your Tier 1 later. Looks like your kids are all old enough to single rider TT, so that will help.
