Hi, my daughter is 2 years old and from what I understand we don't have to pay for her admission into the park. I am wondering how does it work with the fastpasses since I don't have a ticket for her, how will I get a FP for her if we want to ride something with a FP? Does this make sense? :confused3

thanks! :)

You don't need a fastpass for her. She just goes on the ride with you as if she did.

You may not be aware of this either but you can combine a Baby Swap with fastpasses too. We did this last week at Splash Mountain. DH and DS got Fastpasses and I got a baby swap pass. While they rode the ride, I waited with DD (1). When they came off I was able to go on the fastpass line with DS while DH watched the baby. So basically DS got to ride twice and we all avoided a 45 minute line.

I'm not sure if I understand this post. BUT I do want to let everyone know that a third person can always ride with you when you do the baby swap. Disney never makes you ride alone. For example, When we rode soaring, DH kept the baby while DS and I rode. When we were done, I kept the baby while DH and DS (again) rode. No special tickets were needed for DS to ride twice in a row. That's official Disney policy.

Actually, some of the baby swap passes state you can bring 3 guests with you on the 2nd ride. (Soarin' and Splash Mountain did this)

What happened on Splash Mtn is kind of hard to explain I guess. DH and DS had fastpasses since the line was over 45 minutes long. At SM, you can only get 1 fastpass per person, like many of the rides (I know in Epcot, they were testing giving out 3-4 fastpasses for different rides at the same time) When DS and DH went to the fastpass line, I asked the CM if I could get a Baby Swap pass (which is basically a fast pass for up to 3-4 people). So when DH and DS got off, DS and I used the baby swap pass right away and avoided the 45 minute standby line again. If we didn't use babyswap, DS would have needed to get another fastpass with me and that would have been another 1 1/2 hr wait for fastpass return if we wanted to ride.

BTW, different rides have different baby swap policies. On Space Mtn, the CM told me I would have to wait on line with the baby and DH & DS in order to do Baby Swap (the "old fashioned" way :) ) So I would have to wait at the boarding area with DD until DH and DS got off the ride and then I hand the baby to DH and then I could go on. The wait time wasn't too bad but since DD was really cranky, I decided to skip it this time.

That's right. Some rides give you a 'special' fastpass kind of baby swap pass and some make you all go through the line together and switch at the ride and yet others make you meet and swap at the exit. All you have to do is ask once you get to the ride.

RnR, ToT, and Splash I know give the special pass. Be aware, though, that if your child is getting close to the height of being able to ride (but doesn't want to), they might measure your child and if they are tall enough to ride, they will make that child go in the line with you and do the swap at the ride. I was told this at ToT and Splash for my then 4 year old who didn't want to ride. They wouldn't give me the special child swap for her.
