Since a 2 year old child does not need a ticket, do they get to go through the fastpass line with their parent or are they not allowed to ride?

They go with you for anything they are allowed to ride (any height rides - they will not be allowed to enter any ride line that they don't meet the height) requirement for.

My 2yo insisted on scanning his magic band just like the rest of us, and got so excited to see he mickey head turn colors...even though it was the wrong one :)

You can also do a rider swap. Which essentially gives one parent a fast pass ticket to come back and ride the thrill ride later without the child. You don't have to use it immediately, you can swing back later if needed. They won't let the under two year old into the line of a ride they can't go on.

Having a 2 year old is the BEST for Fast Pass. My family would take turns taking him on rides with a FP, and since he didn't need one, he could ride multiple times. This worked well on short rides that didn't have a long FP line. Barnstormer, Winnie the Pooh, Magic Carpets, Seven Dwarves Mine Train etc worked great with this. Peter Pan, not so much bc the Fast Pass return line was a good 15 minutes. But we did it anyway and it gave the other adults a break while he was riding a second time.

That's a great idea! I'm sure my DD would love to ride some things twice and it would be fun for my parents to experience some rides with her too!
