Fastpass ????

OK, i have to ask.......I have seen on a few threads about how DVC members get the fastpass or extra fastpass's or what.. Is everyone talking about when they went through the timeshare meeting and got fastpass tickets or is there some perk with the fastpass because we are DVC owners?????

I've been an owner for about a year now, have been to WDW 3 times in that time, with an upcoming trip in April. Haven't seen anything about extra fastpasses.

We purchased over the phone, so we never took the tour before buying, but did stop in and take a tour of SSR in September. They gave us DVC pins, but never said anything about Fastpasses.

The only thing I was aware of was that they had a special DVC member and AP holder Preview ride on Expedition Everest......I went to it, and got a FastPass to avoid standing in a 2 hour standby line. Had to show my DVC Member card and ID to get access.

no extra fast passes. I've seen someone propose it here but that is all I know of it. Maybe others can help more with this. I believe it was someones pipe dream.

When we took our tour of SSR, we were given 4 fast passes as a thank you for taking the tour. They were wonderful b/c there was no return time , it was an instant fast pass. wish they would think about selling those!!

I actually would like to know more about those...
We toyed around with the idea of going on the tour our entire trip...
we went our last day, and we were given those fast passes, but could not use them because the fast apsses at all the rides were sold out! Our guide told us ot call him up next time we were at WDW and he would give us more...

We were at AK two weeks ago, sitting near Expedition Everest. I was wearing a DVC hat that I had purchased a day earlier.

A man and a woman wearing DVC polo shirts with CM badges started talking to us, asking us how we were enjoying our stay, how we liked DVC, etc. After speaking with us for a couple of minutes, they handed us 4 of these instant fast passes that were good for 2 rides each. We didn't know it at the time, but found out later that they give them to people who take the tour.

I guess they had some extras. It sure was a nice surprise! Too bad that's not a DVC perk.

Imagine being able to walk up to any fast pass machine and get a fast pass to ride instantly.

When I was going into Epcot around 8:30 three weeks ago, a bunch of giddy teenage girls were going through the bag check. The security guard was an old man and was flirting with them. He then said he was giving them a "ticket" for having too much fun. My bet is he handed them a fastpass. I got one a few years ago when the printer broke at the MK ticket window and I had to wait about 15 minutes to get my AP. It was good for 3 rides, which was great on a busy Saturday night.
