Fastpass+ Window Opening Time??

You could rule the world. Got it!

We had ADR's every day and picking the later time ranges really helped when I modified the times. That was GREAT advice. I was so concerned doing this for the first time that I was going to mess it all up. Everyone here has been awesome and now we are set and getting to do the FP's we wanted.....:)

Can someone verify for me when to do my FP. My sleep deprived brain forgets from last year. Check in Mar 13th, but first park date isn't till the 14th. Can i do them tonight at midnight (technically Jan 13th) or tomorrow night?

Tonight! January 12 > January 13
60 days before your check-in date.

Took me about 20 minutes, but I have done it before, and I knew exactly what times I wanted for each attraction.

My procedure:
1 - Start with day that might have most difficult FP+ to get (Mine Train at MK)
2 - Pick the 3 attractions for entire group
3 - Of the 4 time options offered (A, B, C, D), pick the one that is farthest away from the time frame I want (we generally want FP+ in late morning/early afteroon, so I mostly picked the option with the late afternoon/evening times)
4 - Repeat Steps 1-3 for each of the remaining park days (I did Epcot days next, figuring that Test Track might be in high demand with Soarin closed)
5 - Then go back to the "most difficult" day (Mine Train) and Change the Time for the Mine Train to desired time, then change the times of the other two attractions to the desired time
6 - Then repeat Step 5 for each of the other days

I was able to switch every single attraction to exactly the hour-long window I had predetermined that I wanted, or a window that was only 5 or 10 minutes off from my plan (except two cases which were 15 minutes off from my original plan)

So now we're all set for the actual in-park experience when weather, ride breakdowns, illness, etc. waylay the best laid plans of mice and Mice-lovers....:)

If you do this, do you run into problems rearranging times? Would it ever happen that a certain ride would be all booked up except for the time you were originally booked?

That could happen much closer to checkin date, I suppose, but I've never encountered anything like that at the 60-day mark. There has always been plenty of times available for the attractions we choose -- but we don't do Anna/Elsa, parades, fireworks, or Toy Story Mania (cause we go with Rock N Roller Coaster instead).

Actually I do recall that one trip, there was somewhat limited availability for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train (when it was brand new).

Is it normal for only the main person on MDE to show up when I go into fastpass+ and for it to say above the name, "valid park admission required"? Will that disappear once my window opens up and the others with tickets will show up to to select? I seriously can't remember from last time! Sorry for all questions.

When you are exactly 60 days out (12:00), everyone on your list magically appears! Hope you get everything you need tonight! :)

Thanks! I'm new at the whole FP+ thing and trying to get everything figured out before I log in!

I've been following this threadpopcorn::...thank you all so much. I'm learning for you questions and answers. :surfweb:
I'm going on Mother's Day weekend and will have only a weekend there w/mom.

It opens between midnight and 1a.m. on date you are given to make your choices. 60 days out if you are staying on property. Here is something crazy....I just booked my fastpasses for the Sat (3/12/16) that we arrive in WDW. Decided to head for MK on our first evening. We arrive at MCO at 4:20pm. I assume I will have to time to get over there. Figure it will take about 70 mins. or so after disembarking. With ME trip, etc.

Well, I booked three FPs beginning at Fairytale Princess Hall at 7:30. Okay, guess we can make it. Next I have Pirate's with a window of 8:40 to 10:40 and then Wishes 10:40 to 10:55. So weird. I am losing it, or is the Pirate's window long????

I swear when I was booking these, those were not the times I was given as a choice. I think it has something to do with Daylight Savings Time??????

I know that happens on Sunday, or I guess after a certain time that Saturday night?

I just know when I was booking the FP time for Wishes, I was given a time of 9:40 to 9:55 when I chose. Then when I went back into my account to look at it all, the time was later!!!

It sounds sooooo late for our first night after travel, etc. I guess I need to remember to my TX body, it is going to feel even later. Yikes! Time will not be working in our favor. Or will it??? I always get so confused with the time change. And it happens every year when we go to Disney.

The only time I got lucky was when we went to Disneyland and we benefited with the times difference. We had enough energy to get up and get to rope drop!!

Another odd thing: I did not get an email reminder from Disney Destinations this year for my FPs until 7pm on the day I could do them. When I saw the email my passes were done long ago (well, in the a.m. of that day!) They were slow sending the reminder. Kind of strange.
