Fastpass viewing location for Festival of Fantasy Parade

It depends on when you'll be in MK.

The FP viewing area could be in Town Square near the flagpole.

When the Hub construction is completed, the FP area moves back to the Hub in front of the Castle.

I went for it and got FOF FP for this Thursday and it says Town Square. I'm not sure if this means it is the only FP location or if they are now using both TS and the Hub again. However, now I realize something else---the Christmas tree lol. It's still going to be up on Thursday, right? And if so does that limit the viewing areas within the Town Square flag pole area? I would love to see the parade coming directly down Main Street toward me. Is that possible within the FP area with the tree up?

The tree should be gone by then or may even be gone now.

If your FP is for Town Square, that will be the only FP area. Arrive a few minutes early to get the Main Street/Castle view.

I return with a report! I used a FP+ for Festival of Fantasy on Thursday, January 7. The return location was Town Square.

My FP time said to arrive at 2:45-3:05. I checked the area at 2:20 and I am so glad I did. The whole FP area was already roped off and guests were already being admitted! Thankfully there was still some prime viewing available for that picture-perfect viewing of the parade coming directly toward you, but if I had waited much longer, I would not have gotten this view.

Here's what was a real life-saver: When you arrive, the ropes will essentially form a circle around much of the flag pole area. If that great view directly looking toward the castle is taken, try to align yourself with the ropes so that you are parallel with the large, thin columns of the Emporium main entrance. This initially does not look like a great view, but closer to the parade start time, CMs move the rope so that it actually traverses the street and connects to those Emporium columns, allowing you to move a huge bit of space forward and actually stand in the street (a spot seemingly unavailable when you first arrive).

It is full sun. We had FPs for the Town Square area last Spring and the return time was after 3:00. The parade reaches that area close to 3:30. Why they have such an early return time is interesting... they've kept the same return time that was scheduled for the Hub area.

We had a FP+ for FoF last year, and when we got to the viewing area, the CM scanned our MB for FP and we entered,
looked around at the location (nice) and got a feel for the full sun (sweltering) and…
walked away and found a shady spot to enjoy the parade.

After we found our new (non-FP) spot, I walked to City Hall (FP+ kiosks there) and booked another FP+ for another attraction after the parade time.

Thanks. We are heading to the park just before the parade, so the location is actually good. But I also have a 3:50 reservation at CRT and I am wondering if this will be an issue. Any thoughts?

The parade will be finished around 3:40ish and you'll be heading against traffic. If you travel through stores, that may be a little less crowded.

You can always stop by CRT ahead of time to let them know you will be coming directly from the parade. I'm not sure how much of a grace period CRT has for ADRs.
