I have not been to DLR since Toy Story opened (I know..whats WRONG with me??)

In planing an upcoming trip (and probable annual passes) I got word that Toy Story does not have a Fastpass.

Since I have been to WDW twice since it opened there and have witnessed lines in excess of 2 hours for standby and heard of people waiting 15 minutes just get their fastpasses which routinely are all given out within an hour or two of opening on busy days, how is the wait at DCA?

I know there is also a huge discrepancy between the Winnie the Pooh ride here and in WDW... where at the Magic Kingdom Pooh often has waits close to an hour where here in Disneyland I have walked on more often that not, but I am thinking it has to with location of each ride.

On very very crowded days I've seen the line TSMM be over an hour and 50 min was the best I found it in the afternoon. On a normal summer day we found the line got as low as 20-30 min in the afternoon.

I also have never waited in a 15 min line to get a FP for any ride at DLR. And I've always found Pooh to be a walk on or very short line of a few people. Maybe because it is in the back of the park.

I have done TSM at both places. No FPs at DCA, you are right. But it does have a single rider line which DHS used to have but discontinued.

So how long are the lines? On really busy days the lines are an hour long in the morning and taper down in the afternoon to 40 minutes. On moderate days the lines are 40 minutes in the morning and taper to 20-30 minutes in the afternoon.

There are several recent threads that debate whether it is better to arrive early at DCA and do TSMM first thing or wait until the afternoon. No consensus.

On our trips, I have rarely seen it over 40 minutes ever.

Last trip, one day (8/15) we waited until about 12:30 and rode with a 20 min wait. The next day, we went at RD (about 9:45) and got in the special line - including the time before the park opened we waited about 20 min. We got off and back on and it was 40 min. This was the first day passholders were let back in, and the CM said the line was just going to get worse (we didn't go back though).

I think it turns out about the same no matter when you ride. If it is one of those "passholder inlflux" days it might change - but every other time we rode, including all over TG weekend, it was usually about 30 min.

Pretty much what the other posters said...TSMM is usually about a 40 minute wait in the afternoon and longer in the mornings at opening. I actually prefer going towards the end of the day when people are watching the Electrical Parade/fireworks/Fantasmic. It's a lot better than waiting in the sun during the day.

As for Winnie the Pooh, the last two times I went (Memorial Day weekend and Aug 18-23) the line was never more than 10 minutes...usually was only 5.

Just a tip, TSMM at Disney, single rider line moves very quickly as each carraige fits 2 in each side. Often there are parties of 3 and that's when the 4th rider is selected from the single rider lineup.
