Fastpass today in hollywood studios?????

Interesting! I wonder if that paper FP is good for just one ride though? I would be so ticked off if it was! I mean...it's bad enough you only get 3 now.

The FP says it's good for "a one-time use for up to 5 guests at any FastPass attraction in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Proceed to the Fastpass Return Entrance at the Attraction of Choice. NOT FOR SALE". Good until Friday, the 28th.

The poster of the info says they are sending people to guest relations at the front of the park and that TSM is at 210 min. Right now. I have been obsessively reading all the threads about FP+ and have never seen anything about this happening. I just wondered if any one could verify this today.

3.5 hours standing in line for a 5 minute ride.

Who are these people?

I am at DHS now. It isn't bad. For TT we just showed our phone with our FP+ times and they barely looked at it. You can get a paper ticket but I thought they were being given because TT was down for a few hours this morning. We have TSM FP+ for 2 so Ill see if they are still accepting phone FP+.

How is Disney handling this?

They seem to be handling the issue quite well.

See it as a test of "no FPs". I think it is not the end of the world. People are just too used to do some sort of FP here and there.

I believe Disney should have some contingency plans in place.
Don't have one? Wow. Time to come up with one (or two) in case things fail.

I feel really bad for the people at DHS. Still hope they have a different and good day at the park!!

Maybe this is a new marketing strategy to bring back the value of PHs. When FP+ is completely down, you'll need the PHs to get to a park that's actually operating.

The line on MDE has not shown 210min, only 105min. Someone may have been guessing or being over frantic at 210

If they came with only MB they're learning a lesson about not being prepared. It's be like going out with "only your diners club card or only an AmEx." One form of payment just doesn't cut it in today's world

If the park was greatly non-functional and Disney still accepted people's full price entry ticket, then they should have let anyone dissatisfied at the Studios park go to another park with a golden 3 ride fastpass - a simple stamp on the way out with a card to mark for today only...easy to execute and likely to empty the park sufficiently for Disney to be able to fix what needs fixing while keeping the masses who want to stay happy. Just b/c you're testing doesn't mean you get to under-deliver to a spectacular degree...

It's what I would have expected and what I would have asked for if not received.

What about offsite guests? Have they even been able to schedule FP+?

Seems like it could have happened, tickets have been read electronically for years as well as the FP machines using some sort of digital system to know when to switch FP- to the next 1hr block.

My DH works in an industrial environment and pretty much 3 out of 4 times that they shut down power to an area: SOMETHING doesn't come back online properly the first time.
