I just read that you can earn a Fastpass for the Pirates of The Caribbean ride by completing 2 of the 5 “A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasures of the Seven Seas” missions in Adventureland. Would this be a single fastpass for the individual who completed the mission or would everyone in the party (4 in my case) get a FP?

Everyone should get a POC FP - similar to Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, one person in each group acts as the key (they're the one who will need to touch their Magic Band to the activation sensor at each mission stop). When you complete the mission, it's considered a "group" accomplishment since you played as a group and they should give each person a FP. At least that was our experience. The CMs running the hut where you sign up and check in also aren't terribly strict - my guess is you might be able to get them for completing just one mission (or even each mission if you do more).

If you have time to do them, the missions are ridiculously fun. There are five in all - you collect a trading card for each mission completed, and a special trading card if you complete all five (these aren't anything unique, but still a nice token). Each mission has five stops and will take 20-30 minutes to complete. The practical effects at each stop are very cool - and I was floored with how often I'd walked by some of them without ever realizing they could be activated and were part of a show. Personal favorites are the cannon in front of POC that will release a huge plume of smoke (with lots of people wondering how you did that) and the cobra that comes out of the basket beside the Magic Carpets (I won't spoil what the cobra does). It's a fun way to spend some time running around AdventureLand. Highly recommended. We thought we'd do one mission for the FPs - we ended up doing all five. The FPs were almost like a bonus to the experience.

I knew about the treasure map thing & I've done that, what is this Pirate Adventure thing??
It would appear that you're talking about the same thing. There are five treasure maps (one for each mission) sending you around to various locations in Adventureland where you activate a "hidden symbol" with your Magic Band, watch a practical effect and listen to a narration that tells you the next location. At the end, you can go back to the hut where you start the mission and receive a trading card with the "treasure" for that mission (which is a picture of one of the artifacts or relics from POTC). If that sounds like what you did, I'd say it's the same. I'm not aware of any other treasure map activity (setting aside Sorcerers, which also uses similar maps but there's no "treasure").

So do they just add the FP to your magic band or do you get a physical pass you hand the cast member at the entrance of POC?

It's a paper pass - good only for POC. Just hand it to the CM at the FP check in.

That's awesome! We've done all 5 maps a few times and it's super fun. The first time we did it, we finished by going on POTC and getting a small "treasure" in the gift shop. Nice to see the are incentivizing people to do it and giving them a little prize for completing the maps!

This sounds fun! Are there any other attractions that offer something similar?
It's a lot of fun and a different type of activity if you have the time (although I wouldn't prioritize it over other attractions and rides). The only other similar activity in MK is Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, which is also a lot of fun and spread out among other sections of the park (not just Adventureland).

Wilderness Explorers at AK is another activity, but I have not done that one.

Okay! I've only done it once on each trip, it never occurred to me to do it twice! So you just go back to the little hut, get a trading card, and do it again? And after that they give you the FP? I had no idea, I've always just thought it was a fun thing to do in Adventureland!

Cute! What was it?

I believe the "official" policy is to provide a FP after two missions, but we were offered FPs after completing each one. They had a ton of them setting out. We took one set for ourselves, took another that we paid forward to another group when we got to the ride, and declined the others.

I don't know if you've done each of the five maps, but they're all different. When you finish, you go back to the hut, tell the CM on duty, and they'll give you the card, the FPs, and get you set up with the next map.

My kids loved this last trip and cannot wait to do it again. I cannot remember how many missions we did. I will have to make sure we do at least 2 in an afternoon.

Beyond the experience itself, one of the best parts is seeing other guests' reactions. Most of the mission stations are in high traffic areas around Adventureland and inside the POC gift shop. Watching people react to what you did and wondering how you did it is great. Our group also got a kick out one of the stations in the gift shop that connects into The Pirates League - all the CMs in there started singing when they saw we activated the sensor. Loads of hidden fun.

Zombie thread, i know, but i was wondering if anybody knows whether the FP they give you for completing maps is only good on that day? We are hoping to complete 2 maps and get the FP on our first MK day but we will be doing POTC ib the second MK day and i was wondering if i could hold onto them and use them the next day?

I have a similar question...is the FP for a specific time window?
