So we will be going to
Disneyland at the end of September. I've heard the crowds are smaller but last time, we did not use FastPass. Partyly because we did not ride any of the 'big' rides as we had our little munchkins with us. We did do Tower of Terror but the line was short- about 20 minutes. This time DH and I want to ride the big rides- Soarin', California Screamin', Grizzly River Run, etc. My mom is coming and will be able to watch the kids while we ride these but FastPass would help us out. Does anyone have tips for us? What to do and when? We'll be there for five days so we have a fair bit of time.
Thanks!
Casey
Yeah, once you get the hang of it, you don't really think twice. It's not too complicated.
Obviously, the bigger attractions have the fast pass times get later and run out quicker, so get to the biggest ones or your favorite ones and pick up fast passes.
Remember, you can get more fast passes at the sooner of 2 hours, or once the "window opens," on the last fast pass ticket you got (in the morning in particular you might only wait 40 minutes to be able to get another fast pass somewhere). The bottom of your newest ticket will always tell you the time you can get more tickets.
Also, there is the little *secret* that at Disneyland California they only look at the first time on the ticket, not the end time. So if a ticket says return between 10:30am and 11:30am, you could go anytime after 10:30am until the end of the day. (Unless they suddenly change things before you get there, its been that way for years).
This means you can collect fast passes and even if you're going to be in a line or eating a meal, you will still get to go on your ride.
Overall, have fun and enjoy fast pass. Honestly, I pretty much refuse to wait in a regular line because of fast pass.
