Fastpass Switching

I am new to the whole Fastpass+ system. My question is this: Is it possible to switch fastpasses amongst family members. We will be booking our fastpasses as much as we can in advance. The problem is that my family of 4 will not be going on many rides together (my younger daughter is too small). However, my older daughter will be riding with either my husband or myself but we are not sure which of us she will want to ride with. So if I book everything under my husband will I be able to use his pass to ride with my daughter? Additionally, we can't just book both of us because we want the other parent to ride a different Fastpass ride with the other daughter at the same time.

Yes. Just put his band on your arm. They don't notice or care.

Yes. Just make the "blue" band big kid rides and the "red" bad little kid rides and switch them off as needed depending on which parent is going with which child. That said, if the little one can be kept occupied, you can get a baby swap ticket and both of you can ride with you older child (she gets to ride twice).

Yes you can, but I highly encourage you to learn more about the rider swap/baby swap/rider switch program. Using these passes your older daughter can ride twice, once with each parent.

Yup- as others have said, you'll have no problem switching bands to use FP+. And, as others have said, RiderSwap is ideal for your situation! Learn it. Live it. Love it.

For example:
DH and DD1 get FP+ for Space Mountain
DW and DD2 get FP+ for Buzz

All of you go to Space Mountain and get a rider swap pass. (They need to see the too-small-child)
DH and DD1 ride Space Mountain while DW and DD2 ride Buzz
Later on (whenever you want), DW and DD2 ride space mountain while DH and DD2 eat ice cream (or whatever)

Upside: DD1 rides space mountain twice, and both parents get to ride it.
Downside: DD1 doesn't get to ride the kid-sized-ride (unless you do 4th fastpass or standby, of course)

Are you sure about this? Seems strange that they would give a rider swap pass to DW for Space Mountain unless DW has a FP+ reservation for that herself.

Absolutely, 100% positive. Just did it several times last week.

I don't know much about rider swap we only ever used it once. But my son did use my daughters pink magic band to ride EE at AK last October. He even told the cast member at the magic band scanner that he was using his sisters band. She was just a little to short and boy was she mad (totally thought it had a shorter hight requirement). I think all the cast members care about is if the scanner goes green. Im also curious to know what other people's experiences with switching Magic bands have been.

We did a little bit of magic-band switching on our last trip this September. In one case, DD(13) and I managed to get in a few rides standby early in the day, and didn't really "need" our fastpasses, so we ended up swapping bands with my other DD(19) and her boyfriend so they could use our FP (since they hadn't been on those rides yet). We did it a few other times as well during our week-long stay.

It didn't cause any problems for us - other than DD's boyfriend having to wear DD's pink band for the duration of the ride haha. Besides, we were all on the same reservation with same pool of dining credits and room keys, so even if we got separated we could still eat, charge things to the room, and get back into our room :)

Haven't been with FP+ yet, but we did FP for Soarin' so DH, DS, and I all had FPs. DS would have been able to do Soarin 4 times because of Rider Swap. I ended up giving our extra FPs to someone else because twice was more than enough.
