We have a rather odd trip planned this thanksgiving. 3 nights at the Gaylord Palms, drive to Fort Myers for 6 nights, then back to Orlando for 3 nights at Disney's Carribbean Beach Resort.

Initially we were just going to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party over the first portion, but now that we are pricing it all out it the 8 day Park Hopper Tickets will cost about the same as 4 day Park Hopper tickets + event tickets, so I think we are going to opt for an extra few days in the park.

Now my question, can we make Fast Pass+ reservations for the portion of the stay where we will be at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort 60 days out, then reservations for the portion we are staying at Gaylord 30 days out?

It is our first WDW and I have been reading through ALL the info and my head is just spinning. Would love some help! Thanks!

Yes. 60 days plus duration of your CBR portion of your trip (max is 10 days out). And 30 days from the first day of your Gaylord trip. You have to book those as each day’s window opens up. I hope that makes sense. And for a first time visit, I think you made the right choice of more days in the park rather than the party. Have a great time!

The only issue I see is that with the new date-based tickets, an 8-day ticket will be valid for any 8 days within 12 days beginning on the start date. So if you start on your arrival day to Gaylor Palms, you won't have it be valid on your check-out day at CBR. If you wanted to use the last day on your CBR check-out day, you would have to purchase an 8-day ticket, but start using the entitlements on your next day at GP. (I'm assuming you are spending 12 nights, but 13 days, and your 8 days are the 4 at Gaylor Palms, from checking in to checking out, and your 4 days at CBR, again from checking in to checking out). I recommend reading Robo's sticky thread on tickets.

Thanks! We are regulars at DL, but this is our first WDW and it is a bit overwhelming!

Thanks! I think that I have that part sorted out.

We check in late on Nov 22, and the ticket is valid any 8 days from Nov 23, 2019 – Dec 4, 2019.

This may have changed, but I remember when the first day of your CBR reservation window opens, it should open all days from the start to finish of CBR, PLUS all of the days leading up to your reservation. This means you should be able to book your other days too (which would be about 50 days ahead of time.

Maybe Disney IT has changed this, so please let me know if they have. But certainly this was the case two years ago.

Does this make sense?

No. It has changed and Post#2 of this thread is correct as well as the booking info in the FP FAQ Sticky.

Closing as the OP’s question has been answered.
