Hello
I'm planning for our June 30th-July 5th trip. I know it's going to be crazy so I'm in full planning mode. MDE says I can make FP selections 30 days out. We are staying insure isn't it 60?
Also how much do you think we can get done at rope drop?

:welcome:

Is your on site reservation linked to your MDE account? It doesn't sound like it is. As for rope drop, it depends on crowd levels, so there is no real way to predict what you will get done, but rope drop is your best way of accomplishing the most things possible.

Since you are more than 60 days out from check-in, your FP+ booking window is the same as for off-site day guests (30 days). Once you reach 60 days from check-in, the window will expand to 60 days and include the length of your reservation.

You are a soo right! I just on hold for 20 minutes with DVC to ask this same question. That is exactly what I was told!!! We will be there 6/26-7/5

Interesting! I'm guessing that is a new thing since the off site guests were added? Seems kind of silly if you have your resort reservation linked. They should be able to fix that. I'm sure a lot of people will be calling with that question! Thanks for the info! That will keep me from wondering what's up when I book this year's trip. :goodvibes

Thanks that makes sense. I have one other question. We are staying offsite the night before bc we are driving from VA. Can you park over at the hotel and ride the bus over to magic kingdom? Will the bands be active? I was hoping to get into the park way before check in. Do you suggest heading right over to park then driving over to resort in afternoon?

You can check into your Disney resort anytime after 6am. Your room may or may not be ready at that time, but you can check in and be on your way and they will contact you when the room is ready. You can also leave your bags with the resort if you do not want to leave them in the car.
