Fastpass question for Expedition Everest

i would get a fast pass first and then stand in the standby line.... Little tip... with some of the fast passes we used we used them after the time that was on it. They just make sure the time is past the start time.. if we were doing something else at that time we would just head over when we were done. We didn't have any problems get on with " experied fast passes"

not to change the topic, but people here have experienced the ride already..... what age do you think would be the youngest that could handle this ride? My boys are only 6, but they are over 44 inches tall. One I know would never get on this ride, not yet anyway. The other loves rollercoasters, but isn't yet tall enough for any "big" ones at our local amusement parks so he's never been on one beyond kid sized ones. They both want to do space mountain, but I was wondering about this one. Seems too much for a kid of 6 even though the height requirment is pretty low?

regards

i think it might be scary for a 6 year old... don't want to give away any secerts of the ride though... i found it fantastic because i didn't know anything going on it... i don't want to ruin it for others

Just came home yesterday :sad2: after 8 wonderful days of Magic. :wizard: Having experienced crowds at WDW before, I FORCED my family to get up early the first day we went to AK...oldest DD refused to get up and went on sleeping. Left her her pass and off we headed to the park (DH, DD, DS, and me). We grabbed breakfast, hopped on a bus and we were at AK 10 minutes before park opened. We all headed to EE ...I went for FP and they got in line. 12 minute wait in Stand-By...it was GREAT...everything everyone said and more. Stand-By said 20 min. so we went again...18 min. wait. Went over to Safari and walked right on...This was GOOD FRIDAY, DISers!! Lots of animals. By the time we got off Safari, used FP for EE. Grabbed 4 more FP...Then Dinosaur (2x), Triceratops, and PrimivelWhirl. All by 10:30 when oldest DD arrived and wanted to do all we just did. Sorry, dear, you will need to get up early the next time... they did ride EE once more, I gave my DD my FP. DH told me that they ran out of FP sign read when they went on EE. Out of AK by 11 - it was MOBBED by then. Tons and tons of people were just entering the park!

SO, it's easy to do EE a few times, during one of the busiest week of the year if you GO EARLY!!! Same can be said about Soarin', etc. etc. go early, go early, go early!! :wave2:

This is almost exactly our plan, glad to hear it worked. Did your DD get up and go with you the rest of the week?

We were there for spring break. We got a fast pss at 10 for a return at 3:15-4:15. We were told by a cm that they also did not issue any that day for the 4-5 time slot to allow for the regular line to catch up some, since by that time it was a 2 hour wait. It's a great ride!

We will be there in May. I am hoping for a somewhat shorter wait-time.

I would start out with other rides, such as Big Thunder Mt and Space Mt and see how they handle those rides. Space is a little different since people sit in a row, so keep that in mind. EE is intimidating, but at least you can keep a hand on your child.

My son is 6yo and will be riding EE, but he rode on Tower of Terror and Big Thunder at 4yo, Space Mt and Mission Space at 5yo, and recently went to a local amusement park and was tall enough for an upside down roller coaster, so I know that he will go on whatever he's tall enough for. Two of his siblings might not have at the same age, so it's hard to know based on the age.
