Thankfully, crap like this didn't happen to us when we used FP+ on our last trip. But I just gotta say this...these damn glitches never happened with paper FPs.
Let me ask...if you were me...would you maybe try calling to see if you could possibly upgrade them over the phone or internet? Do you think there's any chance at all they would let me? It might make me even more depressed if I ask and they turn me down (again...)

And because you already linked them to your MDE account, UT can't do any upgrades or changes for you.
The only thing you can do is purchase another set of actual "valid" 4-day tickets and use them to book your FPs.
When you reach WDW and before going to the Ticket Window, reassign the valid 4-day tickets to a fake person in MDE to save them for a future trip. Then have the Ticket CM upgrade your invalid tickets to regular tickets to use during your stay. Your FPs remain intact - you won't lose them.
That extra set of tickets will be safe until you reassign them for your future trip.
I am so stupid. I feel like crying. I bought tickets that were outside of our travel dates. I thought they ENDED April 30, but that's when they begin. Disney can't help me upgrade them until I am there, and Undercover Tourist can't let me upgrade them or make any changes period. So no Fastpasses for us. I thought I had it all planned out, but apparently I am too stupid to understand dates... *ugh*
You are great ! To say to be stupid is strong and you don't blame Disney. More people must post when a problem is solve and it doesn't metter who's fault is was.

You know, I would just leave it and make same day FP+ reservations when you get there. You won't be able to get the Frozen or 7DMT attractions, but you'll still be able to get some fun stuff. Rope Drop on the day that you can and you'll be fine. This FP+ system tends to make me crazy about getting reservations that I would not have gotten before they implemented this thing. In the paper days we rarely used them, but the electronic thing along with all of the talk around here gets me rialed up and has me believing that we won't be able to do anything if we don't get those precious FP+. The thing is, there is a lot to do that isn't FP+ at all. I'm always reminded once I'm there that I probably wouldn't have had to spaz out. We'll often change plans while we're there and drop a FP+ and find another, so there are definitely options for same day. Bottom line, if I were you I'd stop beating myself up and just plan to go with an open and flexible outlook
I don't know, I'm having major MDE problems with my account not fully loading and more tickets showing up than I purchased. Since I have a few days left before I make my fp selections, I may just see about cancelling my reservation and re booking. The problems came after they entered the code to apply the 25% discount. I've called IT 3 times and have tickets submitted. It's an ongoing problem that they're working on but I want it fixed. I'm not a planner but because of the new fp+ and the crowded conditions, I now feel compelled to plan way more than I care to, and it's stressful enough without dealing with glitches.
The only reason I'm nervous or upset at all is because we went to Animal Kingdom for one day a few years ago on a whim, and couldn't get A SINGLE FAST PASS (except for the bug show, maybe?) in the park that day. I'm sure it'll be different to places we're going this time. And there's only one day where we'll have to completely wing it, so...hopefully everything will be fine. I've made my peace with it.

But the thing is that there are so many other non FP+ things to do at AK - the two different walking trails, the train out to the Conservation Station and the stuff that is there, walking around the Discovery Island area, the live entertainment...I was reminded of all of that last year when we went for spring break. I get so nuts about the FP+ attractions that I forget the other great stuff to do.

You'll be okay. I just checked for a party of 4 for today. At 10:00a ET, everything is available except for FOLK (you don't need a FP for this) and RoL.
The timeslots are for later today but you'd still have 3 FPs!
If you can make MK or AK as your first park day, you'll have a good selection of rides and will be able to pre-book for the other 3 parks.
