FastPass & printing ticket at home question

We were planning to order our DL tickets online and print them at home. Now I'm wondering if this is a good idea -- if you have to insert your ticket in the FastPass machines, will the machine "eat" a ticket printed on plain old printer paper?

It's too late to have tickets sent and I was hoping to avoid waiting in any lines (will call or otherwise) to buy the admission, but would it be better to buy official tickets when we get there? We're staying at DLH -- can we get them there? Or is there not a problem with the tickets that are printed at home?

Thanks!:flower3:

It's my understanding that the tickets you print at home will be handed to the CM at the DL turnstiles, they will exchange them for real parkhoppers (not sure if these are the thicker paper or the plastic card type, but regardless will be sturdier than the one you printed at home). HTH.

Correct! We printed our tix at home... What you print is actually a receipt/voucher. Once you get to the gate the CM will scan the barcodes on your voucher and pop out new actual tickets. These are the heavy wax paper type tickets. They are not the plastic collectors cards though. From my understanding those can only be purchased from a Disney store or over the phone and mailed to you.
